Well, at least it looks nice on the flatbed! I always think a nice clean car looks less suspicious flat bedded. Could be a car being moved for sale. Dirty cars look like they are on the way to the junk yard.

No way that car is hurt lololol when my oil filter adpater gasket went out i thought itwas just my car being low on oil so i added a quart( didnt see any leak at this point) and then i left the house, drove it to my friends house going about 50 mph , his house was about 8 miles away from mine and by the time i was literally turning on his street my low oil level light came on and i IMMEDIATLEY pulled over into his driveway, i had at the most 2 quarts left and left a trail of oil all the way up my road and a puddle where my car was sitting, your was nothign compared to what mine did, you will be FINE

Well. If it's any insight...... It let go at a wide open pull onto the interstate.

We'll see. I'm dropping the engine and transmission tonight.

Torn down and assesed.

Turned out to be the Oil Pressure switch. I'm still gonna rip it apart and replace all the lower gaskets, and swap the transmission out once I get the subframe back in.


New rear tires are coming as well. You'll see her in Boscobel unless something drastic happens between then and now.

that's good....ive never had the adapter gasket fail like that usually gives you fair warning...pressure switch on other hand little bastard..... but makes sense after a little mash on the go pedal

btw that's one good looking gen 2 base after watching your build thread that interior colour works well with it

when I drained the oil pan it still had 4 qt. in the pan checked the pan an no metal on the magnet nor any sparklies in the oil. dodged a bullet this time. the trans is due for a checkup and we have the one from the 95 that doesn't have as many miles so we are going to change plates as Brent had the 97 modded also going to check the springs in the 95,s . more later JD

kind of... the oil pressure switch is just a switch. its either enough oil pressure, or not enough. not really any in between.
