I have a chrome brow, although it isn't perfect since yours is painted the issues that mine has would be covered anyway. I also have a hood and hinges and whatnot if you need those!

Kansas city and KCMO in the SUN meet.

Luckily I have a '94 donor literally sitting in the driveway with I think everything I need on it, but I will certainly post up if I need a part or two. You all have no idea how much I appreciate the offers of help. Cars can be repaired, people not so much, so we are happy to just have...

Kansas city and KCMO in the SUN meet.

Was going south towards Springfield, got near Harrisonville and the headlights cut out. Just flicker flicker BAM, no headlights. The running lights were working OK, but the headlights cut. When I pulled over to the side of the road, they came back on. So I stomped around and shook the car and...

Let's see if it will let me upload these... Had a bit of a mishap coming back from KC, it'll put mine out of commission for a while. But it was nice to see all those Mark VIIIs together and it was even nicer to meet everyone.

mark viii vs 00' gt sohc

5 years of being at the drag strip tells me that these are a 14.2 car at best, and that's assuming he knows how to launch it. The only strength those cars have is in the first 330', after that's it just a question of if you have enough distance to reel him in. A goobered launch on his part and...

mark viii vs 00' gt sohc

I would call this a driver's race. The longer the distance the more the race is in your favor, so make sure you run him for a full quarter mile. Assuming you are mostly stock, if you are within a car length of him when you hit second you'll come around him at the 1000 foot mark. Don't let...

    Grill

"Phenol formaldehyde resin (PF) include synthetic thermosetting resins such as obtained by the reaction of phenols with formaldehyde. Sometimes the precursors include other aldehydes or other phenol. Phenolic resins are mainly used in the production of circuit boards. They are better known...

    Grill

Well yah, it is, but at the time Ford/Lincoln was real particular about it not being called "plastic". :) It is even referenced in my original brochure.

    Grill

It isn't really plastic, it's a thermo-polyurethane. And that "chrome stuff" is indium. The grill was supposed to be able to take a 5mph impact and flex and not break. Over time it all became somewhat brittle but "back in the day" they were quite resilient.

    Post your mods

When I first started reading that I didn't look at the name, I just started to think to myself "Man, this guy could compete with Driller!" :) That list is just all kinds of impressive. One thing I DO have that seems to be unique is some specific data about track results: 1/4 mile ET...

Official Shawnee Easter meet!!! Sorry VIP only.

Sapper, I just pulled those off my donor car. It doesn't need them so off they went. If I had a second pair I would just send them to you. :( Sorry about that.

There's no way my car is nice enough to show in a car show. I'd consider bringing the '49 up though, we've gotten a couple of trophies with that one.

    Finally installed new drive shaft!

Also having never had the drive shaft out before, I was really pleased/surprised to see that there are two driveshaft loops, one before and one after it passes over the fuel tank. That had been a concern of mine, nice to see that someone at Lincoln thought of it too.
