If anyone is looking to have one replated I highly highly recommend Pauls Chrome Plating, fantastic company...

idk if you can see the pic i can almost swear it is metal

That's a standard, plastic grille. Take a close look at it and give it a lil' flex! :)

dont tell people this you crazy brit, now its broken and its all your fault!!!!!!!

Was gonna' say... plastic is a category that contains a TON of synthetic materials. That thermo whatever seems to fit into that category pretty well.

Ask Gia about the fit of rage I had with my 'new' grille back in 2007 - I stamped on it several times and the darn thing wouldn't break! :p

(I don't recommend trying this, however)

Yeah that was when it was new...Jiffy Lube cracked mine by slamming the hood...it's deffinatly plastic

If that's plastic then what is a phenolic intake??????;):confused::confused::confused:

"Phenol formaldehyde resin (PF) include synthetic thermosetting resins such as obtained by the reaction of phenols with formaldehyde. Sometimes the precursors include other aldehydes or other phenol. Phenolic resins are mainly used in the production of circuit boards. They are better known however for the production of molded products including pool balls, laboratory countertops, and as coatings and adhesives. In the form of Bakelite, they are the earliest commercial synthetic resin."

That's a resin, not a plastic. :) That help much? Hehe.

yea i think frogman gave me a bunch of :q:q:q:q on one of my threads.. but if i dont ask questions then i wont know
