20% on the doors, 35% back windshield and no tint on the front one

Nice and hot out, sticky spray, makeshift garage ventilation, BBQ and cold drinks.
BigRig style. Should be stumbling by 4 (at least that's the goal, give or take)

2 years ago a former member here gave me a set of HIDs. I had forgotten all about them. Last weekend while cleaning out the garage. I found them. I installed them this morning. Only problem. If you can call it a problem. My foglights work when the parking lights are on and when the high beams are on. Foglights will not come on when the low beams are on. Which is fine with me. I have high beam bulbs in my foglights. When me high beams and foglights are on at the sametime, I have 2 sets of high beams on the road. Needless to say. The first SOB that wants a high beam war. Is going to get blinded by me....:N

Only problem. If you can call it a problem. My foglights work when the parking lights are on and when the high beams are on. Foglights will not come on when the low beams are on.

Sounds like a wiring "problem". The fogs aren't supposed to be energized with the highs. However....... Whatever works for you!!!!!!!

Hmmm, something is reversed is it not? shouldn't it be ... fogs on w/ low beams, fogs off w/ high beams.
at least that's how mine behaves, the fog lamps cancel themselves out when high beam is selected.

Yes, it's supposed to work that way. The fogs don't do much with the high beams on as the highs overwhelm their output.

Why the hightemp paint on the exhaust and not the gravelgaurd?

I did some prepping but how much surface rust in one going to get without sand blasting.
I managed to get along the frame rails on each side with a steel brush on the drill end.

then just covered it all with the gravelguard, 2 cans worth.


cleaned up the exhaust, used all sorts on that including rough grit sandpaper, steel brushes.

I had VHT high temp paint laying around and didn't think it would be a good idea to put the rubberized gravel guard on the hot parts.
That stuff hardens up like no tomorrow, same stuff as for doing pick up truck bed liners if you will. Don't think it likes getting hot.

Thank you, it was somewhat a bit of a tedious job, working mostly upside down, rolling around in rust and dust.
Always trying to hold the spray can mostly upright, continues shaking of the can, sticky over spray.
Yeah, it was a picnic alright but I was half cut so I got through it somehow.
