After a 10hr bus ride in which I got no sleep, I made it to Louisiana to pick up my CE. Now comes the 5 hour drive back home. The car is in great shape. It has some issues that can't be worked out, so I'm going to list them and let everyone ponder on them as I drive home. First of all, the previous owner had the Ford dealer do the spring conversion, and the traction control light stays on. They said that was like that when the dealer did the conversion.

The Check Coolant message is on, yet the coolant level is normal
The ABS light is on as well. I will tackle these problems once I arrive back home. I'll check back from time to time as I drive back. So if anyone has any ideas?

Oh, here's some pics. The first thing I'm going to do is replace that rear window from one on my black Mark.

I would guess rear wheel sensor is bad or dirty and needs to be cleaned (T-control + ABS = real wheel sensor). I would swap one out from your burned car. Coolant light, system might need to be burped or the sensor is bad. Mine would do it when parked on an incline.

Clean car... The TC light is on because the ABS light is on. Find your ABS prob, and your TC light should go out.

Congradulations on the ride.:D Looks good.
Whats up with the wood on the console, or is the light reflecting?
Spring susspension.... ewww..

Yup, wheel speed sensor in the rear would be my guess. Coolant sensor bad too. Check under the surge tank to see if its hooked up. If it is then unplug it and short the pins with a papre clip and if it turns off the warning then ya know the sensor is bad.

Easy fixes. I'll start taking stuff off my black car. I'm definitely going to have to put my touch to it. This car was driven by a mom with two kids, and a smoker too!:( I am definitely going to drop a bottle of febreeze in it. The carpet is filthy. No telling what I will find under the seat. I decided to pull over and eat lunch, as I was getting hungry and tired. I didn't get any rest on the bus ride.

Looks like Lincolnboys...what's wrong with smoking in the car anyway...if you want a fresh smell..try Ozium

Dont worry man, i gave Nolimit95 sh*t about burning his down when i saw the car and his garage in person, id do the same to you!! lol

I've always wanted one, and I am going to leave it unmolested. I am debating on whether or not to put my navigation back in, since some degree of trimming and cutting is involved.

I've seen a few CE's but none in the range I wanted to spend. I like the Cordovan better than the Pearl, but that's me.

If anybody have any CE stuff, I need a passenger vent. Mine is broke. Also, both the arms on my cup holders are broken. I have my black center console, but I don't to paint it.

I replaced that shattered window in 30 minutes. My previous owners let it stay like that for two years.

You can take the cup holder apart. The cup holder in my 98 is out of my 97 and the 97 was tan inside.

the vent you need doesnt have to be from a c.e its the same prarie tan interior as an lsc or a base only you have two tone leather, the rest is no different.

sorry i didnt look at the pics about your interior is light graphite grey. only 2 interiors came in the c.e's tan and grey.

My Official Progress Thread

Instead of starting another thread, I'm going to keep this one going. Today I took all of the seats out, the drivers side door panel, and the center console. I have to say, that I have my work cut out for me. The carpet is FILTHY!
I enlisted the help of my mother-in-law to tackle this job. The center console is also dirty, and the cup holders are broken. I gots to have my cup holders! :p So I will be taking apart the black console, and using the cup holders from that. The drivers door panel is in worse shape. Some Einstein probably at a repair shop or dealer tried to remove the door panel. It looks like they got the 8mm bolt in the middle, but forgot the phillips head screw by the light. And when it wouldn't come off, they forced it. Now it is crack and it don't sit flush on the door. I'm going to go to O'Reilley's and look at the duplicolor paint and see if I can find something to match and repaint my black panels. If anyone has a graphite/gray door panel, I could use it.

My driver's door panel is the same way. 4 clips broken off at the front bottom corner and the hole inside the light is broken. The door handle cup is also cracked.

Greg, on the cup holder be very carefull! There are a couple springs you will be using on there that you have to watch how they come off first. Also you need some quick set epoxy as the beauty plate has to be glued back into place. The lift spring is the tricky one though so be carfull. Also the padded part has to slide on from the foreward part before you try and remove it. I almost broke mine when swapping them. Also see how fast it raises right now. If its slow or sticky thats cause the spring is worn. Its an easy fix. When you put it back together only put in one of the little round plastic dampners on the side and it will raise faster. :)

Here's what the carpet looked like after I took out all of the seats.

Here's what it looks like after extensive vacuuming and several hours of scrubbing.

The carpet in my Firebird was stained worse than that and when i got done it looked new, i treated the stains with Oxyclean spot remover and used a hot water carpet cleaner filled with a Oxyclean shampoo and soaked the carpet, it took about 3 hours but evey stain came out, even took out the coffie stains in the cloth seats.
