My Cordovan Collector's Edition

the ash tray doors are held on with a phillips screw through each side, take the screws out and remove the lids but there are springs in there too, its not easy. why dont you just go to walmart and spend 4 bucks on this and shove it between the console and pass seat. this is what i use in my 97, my cup holder is perfect and staying that way, and to stay that way you CANT USE IT. it was the absolute dumbest design ever and its basically there for looks. i like my el' cheapo much better!

x2 jamie.. i've had mine open maybe 3 times in 2.5 years..And thats only cuase the ex had to use it..

The cupholder is a good concept but they just needed to make the dam thing stronger. If you think about it cupholders in alot of cars are crap. The biggest problem they're to shallow so every time you take a turn it spills or better yet falls over.

Jamie, does that cup holder hold the 32 ounce cups well? It looked a little shallow and too wide at the top to me when I looked at it at Walmart.

i'm not sure to be honest i have had the 20 something oz big gulps from 7-11 and those were fine i never tried the 32 oz that i know of.

Did that car have the phone option? I want the A-pillar trim with the microphone in it for a project. What do you want for the cupholder assembly?

The car did come with a phone option. I still have the antenna on the windshield, but there is no microphone in the A-pillar. I PM'd you on the cup holder assembly.

If you've still got it, you should take the windshield washer button out of the black car's steering column. I recently pried one out at the junkyard with a very small flathead screwdriver. It was actually very easy.
I'd give you one of mine off one of my 4 *extra* steering columns, but it would ruin the whole MFS.

UNLESS....how about we trade the seat panel and one of those buttons, for the black cupholder assembly and the extra leather? That is, of course, only if you need the button. lol. For all I know, you may actually have a button to put in there already!

Very nice GMAN looks better than the way you described it to me on the phone. I hate light color carpet they all get that way, A steam cleaner would take out 95% of those stains, and the stick from the smoking.
Good Luck with the car.

i did the same thing when i couldn't get the wheel off to change the mfs/button..Tried every puller in the book and it didnt budge..Anywho, just be gentel and use a thin screwdriver, should take no more than 45 seconds to replace.

So, I can pry out the button? I thought I had to replace the whole switch? My black lsc had a touchy switch. Everytime I used the signal, I brushed up against it and the wipers would go.
