Black Ice , I think the badging is what confused me , I thought the 32 valve motor came only on the cars that had the badging , and the others where 16 valve motors ....Thanks for the info .......

I ment to say SOHC = 16 valve motor . in the base model , but I stand corrected , I didnt realize all Mark VIII had 32 valve motors guess I just assumed all the ones I have seen were LSCs....Do the base models say 32 valve motor on the rear ?

Hey guys , The EBay car has a 32v motor , I believe only found in the LSC , the base car has DOHC motor ..... Correct me if I am wrong... never seen a base model with a 32valve motor...

The knock sensors will prevent the car from pinging even on less then 87 octane . The noise you hear , may here may be the timing chains for the cams ... They have an inherent problem , and there is even a mod .. a spacer to be added to tighten them up...

Ok lets answer a few of these questions .... the car passed all of the inspection except for the emissions listed , there are no codes , All equipment Air injection , EGR , front O2s were added to headers and system..But not replaced with new so could still have a legitimate part failure . Also...

Ok now I am in trouble ..... Last year had ... Kooks headers installed all emissions added to headers ... Air injection etc.. came out of headers into a high flow CAT on each side .... then An X Magnaflow muffler through 2.5 " pipe , into two Magnaflow mufflers at the back .... Being a 96 had...
