    A few more STR corrections. The 2003-2005 STR did not have VVT (Variable Valve Timing). The regular 4.2L S Type did. In 2006 VVT was added to the 4.2L SC STR. We are not completely sure but it looks to be added for emissions reasons and NOT for added power. To further confuse things around...

    You do know the V-8 Lincoln LS is limited to 135 mph? Yes my 2003 V-8 sport will pull right up to 135 mph and then hold it. So anyone getting more than that has a programmer or can't read the speedometer! . . .

    Be careful guys!! I searched high and low for the correct VENTED battery for my 2003 LS. I NEVER found the proper aftermarket one. Got the correct Motorcraft one from Ford for about $120. Higher than I like to pay but the factory battery was still working after 6 years and I just replaced it...
