as rare as these things are i am proud to say this car is right where it belongs. this is the first time i have ever seen a convertible in person, i already knew in pictures that they are hacked, but now that i have seen one, OMFG this is such an abortion. we were strolling through LKQ today in clearwater and came across this, at first i thought it was just a black carriage top and i yelled to jake its a real convert, we walked over and i nearly cried. what a total pile of :q:q:q:q. i cannot believe what i saw to make this thing a convertible, and before you say well they arent all like that, they certainly are because this is a coach builders conversion, i have the two side emblems i ripped off it that prove it! the system of steel square tubing framework thats half ass welded under the car is enough to make a mark VIII guy cry! i'm sorry but seeing this turd sitting here almost made me smile! it was a deep jewel green 94 with a cruise control fire, i took a bunch of pics i will post later, but i'm heading down to ft. meyers to pick up a really nice 97 black on black lsc for my father in law, thank god he finally came to his senses again!!

I wish you coulda taken some more pics, i've always been curious about the converts...

The mark viii is one car they should have never made a convertible! waist of a good car!
 
I told him to take the top and be a hero for that one day when a noob signs up and askes where he can get a premade top for his vert Mark. :lol:
 
he did sell his 98 mark because he thought he wanted a town car then all he did was say he should of kept the mark so we just got back from ft. meyers with a beauty of a 97, its my twin in stock form!
 
Jamie, you texted me today about that POS? I thought it was at least running. Maybe you did tell me it was in a junk yard. I was on the riding mower and barely felt the phone vibrating on my leg.

If you happen to run across a nice Gen 1, black on black, let me know. I'm going to sell the 99 Sanoma I just bought when I find one.

I'm with staffamerica on this one...buy it and fix it. You have the available parts and could probably get a pretty penny for it.
 
If the top was in good shape, you could probably sell that to a vert owner for a decent price...

Were those all the pics you took? I'd love to see more.
 
he should have never sold ME the 98 lsc... This car is in pristine condition and still drives like a dream. Best purchase ever. Hope the door dosent close in on him, maybe you can brace something on the hinges to help with that

some of you guys have zero common sense. go back and buy it and fix it? i wouldnt take it if it was given to me and had all the parts in the trunk to make it like it was when it was new. its a piece of :q:q:q:q why would i want it ? a pretty penny? the few people who are trying to sell nice ones are having a hard time getting a PENNY, what would mak eme get a pretty penny?? i wouldnt invest a penny into it! i didnt take pics of the chassis i wasnt gonna lay down in the dirt to take pics under this :q:q:q:q box!! the top of it is sad enough. just do a search chris had pics not long ago of the chassis of his vert, same thing as this one.
 
I noticed that people can't sell them for the high prices they want. They are just another old car now.
 
Jamie if I fall into a huge portion of money I'm going to pay to have that thing dropped off in your driveway. I'll have them pound stakes into your driveway and then weld the car right to your driveway.
