DO NOT take your vehicle to the dealer for any reason or you will pay them money to accomplish nothing...
.
I still think it should be a rule that if they don't fix anything you shouldn't have to pay....
I had it specially made of chrome metal and it shorted out the entire ignition system:shifty: and I had to junk the car.:shifty:
Drilling holes wont help. Thats not how radio works. I am not sure how PATS works or even what it looks like. If there is any hint of a radio antenna thingy, then maybe the antenna could be extended outside the area of the bezel or even, in some way, attached to the bezel to make itself then antenna.
Or if the transceiver is removable, relocate it to the left or right of the bezel. I think there would be room.
Another option is to stuff another key next to the ignition switch on the inside. Thats what my shop did on a TON of cars that had remote starts installed. But we usually used the valet key.
Oh,:shifty: that was mine:shifty: I had it specially made of chrome metal and it shorted out the entire ignition system:shifty: and I had to junk the car.:shifty:
So would you be kind and mail it back to me?![]()
I aint crying over it... I learned a lesson, and will move on to my next idea....
