One problem down a million more to go...

another thing to look at: check those rear shock mounts they all crap out on these

hmmmm...how do I do that? Do I need to take the whole shock out to see? Probably a really dumb question but...yeah, I'd rather ask then pull out my hammer again ;)

Just use brute force. :p

*please notice the sarcasm smiley*

Really Ripped??? You don't know how to check shock mounts??? Pop the trunk, pull carpet back from over wheel well, shock is right there...if the rubber is cracked, drop your shock, pull the mount out, burn out the old rubber..ALL of it...then replace with the bushings that come with the new shocks....
If you can't manage to change your shocks without damaging something, Ill buy all your tools for $10

I need to re-download it. Lost all my data on my laptop and am rebuilding AND lost the dang CD.

derek why dont you trade me for my 93 and i will just part yours out. you can even keep your octastars!

Did the virus do it or did you format or restore to factory?

The computer started just running so freakin slow! Then I couldnt run a scan or even download anything else to scan with! Thats when I knew. So I started trying to save data to my flash drive and stuff wouldnt transfer and pics that were so imprtant to me that I could swear I backed up before just upped and vanished! I would refresh and more folders would vanish! I was just able to save my tune files and 700mb of music.... thats it. I had to do a system restore and it was working fine then couldnt add any more updates. Doing a full scan I found a few thousand sectors of the drive that were no good any more. :( I lost about 3gb of storage capacity.
It really really sucked. Lost all my Cobra and Mustang pics as well as my only pics of my fience before she was killed. Lost 3 gb of music and 4 gb of porn. Not to mention all the little crap your computer learns over 3 years.
Then I had to download 3 years of updates! 2.2gb and when I thought it was done it found another 1.11 gb to download! Just this second it popped up for more updates to the tune of 498mb!
I am getting an Apple next time.

I know the 93 has a coulpe small issues but really thats the best deal yet! Its really perfect for him as his car needs way more money still thrown at it then its worth....... says the guy thats spent 10k this year on his 4k car.

Anyway the 93 is prolly faster then his car (had it been running right) anyway.

Do it Derrik!

I think the trans is fine but the TC is not. You should have used the 98 TC that was known to be running fine instead of a rebuilt TC. Also, the trans pressure solenoid could be faulty. It's the solenoid under the gear selector.

I know the exact diagram Jamie used for the hole drilling and only two bits were used. 3/32's and 7/64's and the holes that were drilled could not be messed up on, even by "lincolnboy"

I would swap out TC's for the 98 and if you can get your hands on all the Gen 1 trans internal solenoids, I would swap all of them out, just to be safe, especially the trans pressure solenoid. Make sure the grounding clip is on the TCC solenoid too. Gen 1's have them but the 98 does not but when you swap the internals over, the 98 trans needs that grounding clip. I'm sure Jamie put it in because I know exactly what he went by on the internal swap.

Being a low mileage 98 trans, I doubt the fluid was burnt to the point of not being able to put fresh fluid in. I just feel like it has something to do with putting in a reman TC, which should never have been done if nothing was wrong with the original.

As for the front end, you don't have air so I can't speak on that. Sounds like a fucced up rack to me though.

derek even if you dont like the gen 1's drive my 93 compared to your car it will feel like a supercar. we can trade, then i'll sell you the nose off the 97 and you can put it on the 93! then it will look the same lmao!

you need to just buy a vespa.

F*$@*&%&%&!! Check engine light is on again. The O2 didn't code is still gone, but the IMRC stuck open (b1) code is on again, as is the catalyst inefficiency code. Great, so it wasn't the computer at all because all the same codes are back and the car is running like crap again.

WHAT. Wait stop the press hold the phone. Say again NOLIMITE. I can mess up a valve body upgrade. Why shu soe mene'

You should show that car who's boss, beat it to death with your FACE!!!

U make me wanna shoot my car with a AK
I got a super sweet baller Rock River AR-15 for sale that would blast the crap out of the car! Hell Ill give ya discount if I can shoot some tracers into it! :D

Ill just call the guy from the last place. I work at and get him to get his .50 rifle out and shoot em up. I've heard of one other guy blow up a mark viii so wrong. Came close to driving the car off a cliff.

I've got a 9 mil that would do just fine for that :D

Blow it up like I did my 94. Just don't do it inside a garage like I did. That wasn't much fun but at least I fixed the problem.

Yeah....only problem is I have more into the car than it's worth. Oh well...regardless, Jamie's Gen 1 he wants to trade me has problems too. I'm not trying to trade problems for problems...that plus as I said I don't like the looks of the gen 1. For some it may be nice, but it's just not my cup of tea.

I've been scouring ads for a Silver Gen II LSC though....If I find one nearby I'll jump on that like white on rice.
