Ferrari 458 vs F-150

 only thing i saw wrong with the f150 was a slightly bent bumper.
i wonder how that happened.

Apparently the Ferrari passed traffic on the left by going over a double yellow line. The F-150 was exiting the car wash and drove on the Ferrari as it was passing traffic illegally.

Love that car but some people who drive cars like that think their sh!t don't stink and they can drive any way they want. I have a buddy who HAD a viper srt-10 (brand new) who was playing around with another guy in his lambo on a busy residential street and trashed his viper:eek: Yes, he IS a moron who doesn't know what he has or how to drive it! Two weeks later, drove to Texas to buy another brand new one.

A person that can afford a Ferrari has no real concern toward insurability costs. But, I bet he will start thinking about it once the insurance company re-adjusts his premiums after this incident. If you listened to the driver of the ferrari after the cameraman asked him questions, he states to whomever was on the phone that he just :q:q:q:qed up and walked away.

That accident was right by where my wife used to work. (Brandon Regional Hospital)

That guy looks like a younger version of Glenn Beck.

hillsborough county , what a suprise, an accident in florida!!!!! i bet 40,000 accidents happend at the same moment in this state, you have to have balls of steel to drive with these jerk off's down here.

He seems like a cool dude except for the part where he blames the Ford guy. It was his fault that he couldn't wait patiently in line like others did.

Why does it not surprise me he's also wearing a Ferrari t-shirt.....what a d-bag....poor car :(

Why is it that all of the worlds best cars get the worlds dubmest owners?

I worked a wreck a few months ago between a viper and a neon, the viper was obviously at fault and actually requested a jury trial for the ticket I wrote. One of his comments in the trial was "I make 500k a year more than anybody here, I can AFFORD to do this". Needless to say he was found guilty and the judge slapped him with the maximum fine.

I wouldn't say that rich people in particular are douchebag drivers. It's simply that nobody cares as much when people drive like an :q:q:q:q:q:q:q in their civic or suv and wreck it. Also having a car with 500+ hp just tends to bring out the worst in some people. They think that they own the road and try to do ridiculous things like passing people on the wrong side of the road and they'll try to make the light that just turned yellow from like a half a block away.

I disagree, but eh....

Should we limit all cars to 300HP then? It's not the power rating of a vehicle that brings out this "worst" in people you speak of. It's the people who do it themselves.

The guy who drives like a jackass in a 500+ HP car will drive like a jackass in a Civic as well. It's not the power rating of the car, it's the mentality of the driver.

stacked

This is not the first time a FORD put the smackdown on a ferrari 1966 thru 1969 comes to my mind,;););)

I'm not suggesting a limit or anything like that. I'd be strongly against HP limits for cars. I just said that the power sometimes causes foolish or immature people to do reckless things. It's entirely the fault of the driver. Basically I only mentioned it in response to an earlier question asking why a lot of guys with these exotic cars drive poorly. Don't wanna turn this into a 'gun control' debate of anything of the sort.

I feel ya. It's like hollywood and paparazzi, a million trashy whores have illigitimate kids every day, smack a "baby bump" on a single starlet from some hit movie and it makes the front page news. People accept and ignore wrecked civics all day and not ferraris because you don't see many smashed ferraris. The capabilites of a civic limit the destructive/idiot potential, regardless of the mental ineptitude of the driver. People aren't gawking at the poor driver decision, they are rubbernecking at the ubervaluable car that got owned.

Forgive me, I'm not saying that ALL owners of exotic type high dollar performance machines are complete idiots. One of my best friends at my PD has a highly modified Viper. I have never seen him drive it above the posted speed limit, or in any way that could be considered irresponsible.

I just found this thread interesting because I have found it to be the rule rather than the exception that folks with the exotics tend to be very stuck up and "me" oriented.

I will say that living in a military town I have seen more than my fair share of idiot drivers ranging from mopeds up to the exotics. Most of them have gotten to know me personally.

If you are one of the fortunate few to own an exotic and I have offended you in any way forgive me.

You are right - he could have been in a yugo even and still been the same jackass guy -

The only thing - the Ferrari has a multiplying factor of, oh, 50 times over the yugo - :)

Guy in Yugo - Jackass x 1

Guy in Ferrari - Jackass x 50

In parts of europe certain drivers are limited to what they can drive i forget exact details but i think young drivers can only drive 6cyl engines and below and nothing with a turbo regardless of what it is.
