DieselDan's 94 Champagne/Black Progress Thread!

nice n clean. found the chirp or squeak? try to make a recording with video so we can hear it. does it do it from a stop accelerating, when you stop and the nose dives? just over bumps? what?

Thanks for the compliments guys! I only have one concern about the rear bar and that is that I have heard that it is able of contacting the rear air bag and potentially popping it. Anyone know anything about that?

fromthe pics it does look really close, but yea take a grinder to the sides and take it down some

I want Dan to paint his car black with some purple or blue pearl or both. Just enough that you have to stand up close to see it. He's always wanted a black on black and says it's in need for a paint job and has no plans on selling it so, I would paint it black. His interior has already been swapped over to black and he wants his son to drive it to his prom. :)

Paint it black Dan, when the money is there for it.

Better engine pics, no sure why they seem off center.

Omg that looks gorgeous Dan!

I can't wait to try the COP conversion on my car. Looks soo clean!!

Thank you very much Stangman :D

The HIDs are still in the garage, not sure if I want to run them or not. They may be for sale for the right price.

I got a nice set in mine and my back up set is ok. I'm still on the look out for a mint set. Looks great man, keep up the good work!!

Sooo... Tonight I decided to tackle my battery terminal ends. My motorcraft battery crapped the bed over the weekend and I got it warrantied, but I decided I wanted to fix the eye sore that was my terminal ends. It has always bothered me, but never really done anything about it.

So, I bought some heat shrink and some new terminal ends and went to work. These are the ends I bought. I kind of thought they would fit better, but they will work for now. I was going for a more stockish look.

Here are some pictures of the repair...

And the finished product. I am mixed with the results. The terminals are overall too long, and the small/large battery terminals do not fit well with these terminals. I am thinking about trying a new terminal for a better fit.

I am also going to reroute the wires a bit and loom them back up for a factory look... updates to come.

That's a great Idea on the pivoting terminals. I know these cars don't have a great amount of cable to go hacking the ends off and replacing them. I need to do mine as well. I use vise grips to get my bolts loose. Waiting for the day that no longer works!

very nice. did pretty much the same to my car. starts better, alt works better. definitely more than good looks.

I'm still not happy with the battery terminals themselves... I am trying to see if I might have a different option.

I've always thought a good set of those molded cables look the cleanest...

or something like this:

I am just going to use the solder in type of clamps. They should be as good as anything and look nearly stock.

i used the brass battery terminals from walmart, removed the bolt down cable strap they come with and then just bolted the lugs to where the clamp bolted down. works fantastic. i highly suggest it.

I ditched those battery terminals a few months back, I didn't realize that I hadn't updated the photos, but this is what I have now.

Thanks for the compliments! I didn't bother putting anything on the terminals because I clean the engine compartment weekly. Corrosion never gets a chance to start on mine.

Have these on mine, can't believe I never took any pics! Will have to take care of that this weekend.
