Those are the last pictures I have for now... The last one was before I came inside because a pretty nasty storm rolled in. The top one is after I got the first side together.

SOOO... I got it all bolted together and decided to fire it up... Car started up just fine, idled up and settled back down. It was a little rough when I gave it gas, but I finally hit the throttle a last time and the car sputtered and quit. Now, it won't start... I replaced the plugs with NGKs while it was apart, and thinking maybe I fouled them out, put my old plugs back in. The car still won't start. The car is on a prett steep angle with the front end up pretty high, and the gauge shows almost empty, yet I have fuel at the rail. So, I'm not really sure what the problem is. The car ran fine last night, and when I first started it tonight, so I am at a loss. Anyone have any ideas?

SOOO... I have been stewing about why this damn things wouldnt start... I had the back end down so low, and the front end up so low on an already steep grade. The thing wasn't getting fuel. I turned the air suspension back on and she fired up like nothing happened. I put my NGKs back in it too. Just gotta finish looming the harness now and she'll be good to go.

Looks great. Lord know I wouldn't ever have the patience/care to do this if I had a g1.

Hey guys,
Just got to buy some car parts!

Still need to order the rest of the steering column parts, Energy Suspension sway bar bushings and trans mount, and thats it!

Since I was uploading pictures, wanted to Add this...

My 10 month old son, Gage in the car that he maybe/hopefully drives to prom one day.

That boy has grown.... Looks just like you too. If he could just reach the gas pedal right now.

Dan, I miss my X-pipe lol. Leave the back door unlocked so I can sneak in and get it. I'll leave ya a few dollars on the floor. :D

Looks really good. I would like to find a decent black interior also. Curious though why the new engine mounts

Well, my current engine mounts are toast, well the d/s one is. Everything I read told me that a stock replacement wil probably tear up just like these did. A few people recommended Chuck's mounts, figured the price is pretty close to stock parts so why not. The only other Mark owner I know of with them is Driller.

So, I have finally gathered all of the parts I need to do everything in this wave of mods that I wanted to do. I am doing everything, except holding off on the exhaust until everything else is situated. I call what I did today, stage 1.

This is the difference between the stock bar and a 1 1/4" bar, size wise.

This is something that I thought was very interesting about the bars. They are much heavier than I expected...

I took the car for a quick spin afterwords and there is a MAJOR difference with only the rear shocks and sway bar. There is a noticable difference in ride in a straight line with the much stiffer shocks (removed sensatracs) and in turns, it feels like it just wants you to give it more throttle. I am extremely excited to finish the other stuff. Remaining is oil pan gasket / adapter gasket / front sway bar/ motor mounts / coolant crossover tube / and ES trans mount.

STAY TUNED!

Excellent. I believe the stock bar is so light because it is hollow. I have a stock Thunderbird Sport on the rear of mine that is solid. I didn't weigh it ?? Not as nice as yours though. I need better shocks in the rear. Heck front to.

Looking forward to seeing more work done! I too plan to do the same mods as you have planned. Once the car is functional again.

Dan, you make me wanna drive to Orlando and let you install some parts on mine. Can't wait for you to get the "Turbo Chucks" in there. That engine might feel a lot tighter. It all looks good!

Yah! So you can't sell yours then! Keep that thing...

I don't think its going anywhere.... I was lusting over a black on black '77 Mustang II with t-tops, 302/4speed and aluminum slot wheels....... but I don't see myself getting it.
