what are some of the best not so expensive ways to add more horse power & performance to a 97 mark viii thats not a lsc?

1. Drill out the airbox for higher air flow.
2. JMOD the transmission
3. Better gears
4. New spark plugs
5. SCT tune or similar

Plenty of stickers...flame ones are the most bang for your buck...but you would've known that if you searched because this was talked about many times before

:confused::shifty: I think you're just trying to reach 10,000 posts...:)

Fender vents!! Oh and don't forget to remove the drive train then use duct tape to attach a 5 gallon bucket for a seat to the trans! Instant weight reduction and increase in power!!!;)

Why all the stupid answers? He's asking and you're saying stupid ghetto tunes like the electric supercharger etc.

I'd say the exhaust. Get long tube headers and from that 2½" true dual all the way back. Probably the most restrictive thing on the whole car. But it's not the cheapest and easiest but it's worth it.

Do Not Drill the Air Box!! Instead remove the silencer under the front fender that is also hiding the air compressor, and leave the large hole in the inner fender for the unobstructed cooler air to enter the intake. Drilling the air box only encourages warm air from the engine bay to enter the system.
