Waiting Room

Thank you gentlemen.

Being at 10y/150k km, I believe I might be due for a belt change. How does one determine when a belt is "worn?" Mine looks OK. No cracking or visible wear, it doesn't look scuffed.

If it's original, it's time. I got one of these FREE!!

Not like it's a timing belt ... if it's not noisy, not cracked or dry, it's fine.
Fresh belt is always a good thing of course. It's on my list as well. Old but looks/performs just fine.

I put a belt on my latest order of car parts. Brother was told in one of his mechanics classes that 10 cracks per inch and it's time to change it.

This wouldn't be too hard to put over Vivid Red right? Red tinted pearl for a nice cool $14,600.

Didn't really want to make a new thread for this so I'm trying here first. I did search but not very long.

Does anyone have a detailed write up or pictures of installation of clear corners into gen II headlights? When the headlights were opened it didn't look like the swap was going to be as easy as I hoped. And when I open my headlights I'd like to know exactly what I'm doing so I can close them up and reseal them quickly.

Unfortunately In this video he does show the clear corners installed but he did not show how he removed the orange ones and how he installed the clear ones. And that's what I'm looking to find out.

Take the bezel out, and there may or may not be screws holding the reflex back plate to the bezel. Then grind off the plastic that holds the reflex to the backplate. Following that, the reflex should be able to be pulled out of the back plate and then install what you're using and glue it back in place. This is from a faint memory but should help. It should be pretty straight forward.

Me thirsty now! (this vid never gets old)

Does anyone know how to properly re-attach the headlight rubber seal? Mine is all screwed up on the driver's side. Tried using contact cement and ended up getting on the lens, which destroyed the urethane sealer..

What no fender vents ?

looks like a Saudi Prince just by looking at the gold on the rear deck.

OK, where does one get given big enough of a set o' balls to do 250-299KMH on the backroad twisties on a motorcycle?

the roads look perfect and he clearly knows them like the back of his hand...

Yeah like that matters with one wrong move or something coming the other direction out of his control.

either way, fun to watch, exciting stuff, just not something I would dare try, that's for sure. Balls aren't that big.
