Turned to the dark side. Sappers 98 Black on Black LSC

I got it for $3400 and immediately spent $40 on brake pads and $302 on 2 tires.

WOW! That's a alot for my area.

You came a long way in a short time dude! You went from 3rd engines a charm oh wait nvm, then dirt poor walk to work and dead Mark, to I need money so it's for sale Mark, then Sapper Motor fund repaired Mark, then to happy it's running again so let's shoot up GMAN's old shell, now, it's I'll trade the Gen one for some lame SUV cuz I have a tax refund check so I bought a nice Gen II Mark...

Traitor. ;)

The 98 used to belong to Twinbopilot, he started a new buisiness and made a private offer to sell it to me. The car is worth more than I paid, so it's not like a got stream railed. The only things really wrong with the car I listed above, it's an excellent starting point

Weren't most of us on here waiting for tax checks to do things with? So I got a much needed 2nd car, and some parts, paying back loans, getting kids things, and sticking some in savings.

congrads.... man i wanna paint mine to black after i get one

Thats cause Marks in your area suck.

Think about it. Car has ZERO rust anywhere. Does not need every front end bushing or joint replaced, engine has no issues, trans has no issues, seats move in all directions as if new, steering wheel tilts and telescops without issue, all switches work, neon works, EVAP tray looks like new, leather is 95% perfect (only some wrinkles but no cracks), its black on black etc etc. Damn solid car for the price.

It is in better shape then mine was when I bought it and he paid less.

Ok so I over looked this thread on which of sapp's cars has springs and which doesn't.

3400 for a 150k mark is abit much imho. i paid 3k 3 years ago and mine had 120k..I'm not trying to be an ass but thats alot of dought for that milage..Now if nothing was broken and it was cherry i could see myself paying 3500. And yes, i know your going to do all the neccessary work but still..

Reguardless very nice looking ride.

Yeah but yours needed a blend door actuator, driverside seat control was cracked and hanging, siezed drivers side strut, chrome wheels were horribly corroded, sunroof acsess panel was broken, floormats, needed ball joints and strut rod bushings, rear rotors and your power steering colum didnt work.

While his 98 needs the blend door and rear strut rod bushings he does not have the other issues. Plus its a 98 so it has the better trans. :D

I paid 2 grand with 82K miles, but mine needed a blend door, clockspring and had a rusty driver side rocker now since replaced as well as a lot of little things I have since replaced such as the evap tray. As a bonus it had a freshly rebuilt transmission and new AC components. There is one near me that I would consider, but it is a base. Still, $5K for a 56,000 mile car is appealing:

I think that as long as Sapper is happy with his purchase that is all that matters. I don't buy cars to make others happy, I buy them to make me happy.

And he's spent 350 on it already

s/r panel was a free fix
strut ehhh, got me there..But i had functioning air ride ...
it did not have the factory mats
1 bj and srb's
my columb didn't work for 1 out of the 2 functions
my directionals did suck but there ugly reguardless of there condition
rotors did suck
seat control was a 4 dollar fix

overall i spent 250 on
Blend door
Mark mats
1 bj and srb's on each side
and for fixing the seat panel and sr panel

rotors i'll do so add 40 onto that but they still work

Set the steering wheel and left the motors unpluged. So all that i needed to do was the 1 strut, rear rotors srb's and a bj.

x2

bill that was stupid for you say to big mike, marks in our area suck??? this is florida jack ass, what do you think we have here that you dont have in texas snow? some of the most solid rust free cars come from here, besides arizona.
and just to rub it in, my 98 is in gorgeous condition, and only needed front struts and front suspension rebuild and i paid 1,350. and my blend door works! as do the hid's and neon. i too think the price was a little high, i'm not saying its way too high, but there are tons of them out there with those miles in nice condition for less. but that doesnt matter, because its his now! i have about $2,200 into mine.

It was said in jest you nerf hearder. Some of the nicest marks here are from Floriduh. :p
Excluding yours of course. :D

Then again Bodybyass threw the curve off a bit.

And Jamie, didnt you have to fix the neon on the 98?

As for the price I knew most on here would think was high. Plenty of people here say I paid too much for mine yet when listed for $9500 I had three people on here right away ready to send me the cash and fly down to get it. Its really moot though. He got it below book, its in excellent shape and hes happy with it cause he wanted a clean black on black LSC.

You got me all wrong buddy, I was just joking with you. It's the type of guy I am. I hope it turns out well, I know it will. I do think it's alot compared to my area, but that stuff doesn't matter it was just a conversation topic. :)

As far as Bill's post, I took it in jest, so it's nothing to worry about. But, just because MY marks suck, doesn't represent FL cars, all three of mine were not FL cars. I have $1900 into mine, and it's pretty nice to the untrained eye, but it still needs a short list of odds and ends, and the idle issue that is kicking my ass is the top item. Don't ask Jamie if he agrees, he will tell you it should be burned and crushed!

Thats about the lowest thing you could call someone!

LoL don't think i take anything on here seriously...I barely even take serious stuff very serious.
I've been driving the car almost all day, my ass is sore. Paid $304 for an ugly sticker that I didn't even want, and transferred the title.

The question is if the bags work or not. I have a pair here for free too but they prolly leak with all the micro cracks....... could always throw tire slime in them! :p

actually i have no room to talk with my two cars, my 97 was raised in california and my 98 was raised in north carolina. you should see the evap tray on my 98 it looks like i just pulled it off the ford shelf dont ask me why!

what part in florida do u lguys see all the marks there jamie.... i would love a florida car but i need local sale though .....
