Shhhhh.....The idea is to put something in his head so he spends more moneyNaw, the always on torque of the automatic behind a F/I car is awesome.
looks like a veryu clean install, but did i hear squeakingfrom an idler pulley in that vid?
he brought an IAC. So back he goes.
Thats opposite of fat, no?Ah the luck you have
I was wondering if they had WiFi there or not.
And yeah that's pretty darn fat, maybe it wasn't the bug zapper that was killing the bugs, maybe it was your car!
Thats opposite of fat, no?
Yeah, it gets expensive fast. I found my mostly complete Cobra intake for $350 but then found I needed a Cobra fuel rail to retain EGR, and I needed an intake tube so that $350 intake swap has grown to $500, and that is before I buy the needed vacuum lines and gaskets.Ok, some of you may believe that this was a fairly easy install. Let me make it clear, THIS IS PHUCKING EXPENSIVE! It will nickle and dime you to death!
I wont say what SVO cost me as some was bartered for stuff he needed and will be different from person to person. I also did a nono of being there the whole time. I tried to help but was mostly in the way and couldnt match SVOs stamina. After 9 hours in 100*+ Texas heat...... I was done.
Then the cost of all the little parts will kill you.
Here is just a SMALL portion:
IMRC & T-body gasket $80
Filter $35
Intake tube $28
MAF $75
MAF Adapter $40
Cobra intake tube $40
Bobra fuel rail $75
T-clamps $15
Fuel lines $50
Vac lines $50 (ALLOT TO DO)
Roll of wire $10
Various vac adapters $40
Then there is all the custom stuff like the ALT bracket and the filter mount and the throttle cable mount. Many many many little parts SVO USED to have on hand before I used them all.
This project even done on the cheap like me is very expensive. I thought I had almost everything so figured $100-$150 more cash is all thats needed for misc parts. Well $300 latter.....
So beware, if you have to ask "How much?" then you prolly shouldnt do it.
With the fixes and dropping boost to 12-13 psi should net me another 15hp. With the fixes and keeping the current boost level would allow me to run 440+ rwhp but thats asking to blow it up. 16 is high but the tune is so safe that I can run that boost as long as I am not in 4th gear.Alright, I am going to just state up front, but when it comes to tuning and blowers and :q:q:q:q like that, I'm clueless. How much more potential is there with a better fuel pump and those other fixes you still have to do? And isnt 16psi good/high? Did they tell you a realistic number for power when you get all that stuff fixed? And as far as a crank underdrive pulley, are you trying to lower the boost?
You must have missed allot of somewheres.bill where did you aquire that blower to fit your stock heads? is it from a 96-98 cobra? i must have missed the info on it somewhere.
Kinda slow like a Neon. Third seems good for 130 though. So how does it feel now? Where's the ear to ear grin post?
