So SVO called me up to say he was gonna stop by and check on the car before I come down for the upgrades.
He met my cat

*Travelocity gnome voice*
"Oh deary me. Nice kitty."

He wanted me to show him my tunes and dyno run.



*Travelocity gnome voice*
"No. Naughty car. These squiggly lines are all the wrong color. Now I want spaghetti!"

He checked under the hood.

*Travelocity gnome voice*
"Oh, I see what you done there. Its all wrong! Give me your keys."

He then strapped in:
"We may have a small problem. Never mind! Point me down the road and put it in gear!"

So he came back and gave me the report.

"I have discoverd your problem. Your car is slow!"

"I have just the fix. Yes, that will do nicely. Now just bring it to my garden.... er, uh garage for repairs.""

I love the little braile bumps in the road on the way to your house, but your road is bad, I had to use the ditches to feel where the edges of the road are.

I don't have all that body to lug around that's why I'm so proficient, which means I was able to bust all this out before 1pm today, and now all I have to do is absorb couch, watch Roswell, and wait for my beautiful wife to come home.

And I use an leftover 17x10.5 FR500 wheel to get to where I need, resourceful I am.

So I have made the trip down South for the install. It was a little journey cause my copilot wouldnt stop playing with the radio.


*gnome voice*
"You are not included in this songs message"

Couple hours in we got thirsty so got some slush treats.


"Oh my, it appears I have a brain freeze!"

"Ha! Your doohickey says almost 4 hours to get there. If you let Travelocity take over then you would be there in 2!"

He just wouldnt stop with that so I let him drive.

"Now were moving! Press the gas more!"

Sure enough he got us there in two hours.


Now onward to the install!!

What a day! Started the blower install and the headaches. :lol:

Got the intake pulled off.

Then realized I didn't buy new intake gaskets.

So off we went on a 3 hour tour to go buy new ones from the only place within 500 miles that had a set.
Here our faithfull mechanic is showing them off.


"Really I am more of an Autumn."

Then got the crust cleaned off the heads.

And bypassed the EGR so here he is welding up the tubes.

Then it was time to get the injectors on the plenum so had to lube them up.

Shortly ( ) after SVO discovered our first problem.

"The whirly thingy is hitting the black thingy."

So SVO trimmed it up to clear. Very nice clean work too.

So that showed us the next problem.

So tomorrow we will be doing some more trimming of the hood and hope it all fits at some point. Still have to figure out how route the throttle cables and how to make the bracket for them. Many other issues to work out too.


So this is how it ended tonight.
