Sapperfires NEW 93 blue on blue progress thread.

yeah jeremy we got you set on headlights no need to send any. and since you dont love me in a gay way, i'll do a :q:q:q:qty job on the lights lol!

Jamie, I want to send you a set so you have some for sale, or whatever.. It's all I can do, I always wanted to buy a set from you because I've seen your work, but I never could afford it. Maybe someone else will need some one day.

Both of the corner lights are cracked like that on the new car, mine are gorilla super glued together since that black strips press rivets are all gone. They've held together for a couple months now

Thats what mine did... the method known as "staking" plastic only works once, lol and thats when they are new! Plastic epoxy for the win!

I would like new ones..but it's not really a need, the glue seems to be holding them ok

got "Babyblue" towed to Bills yesterday.. Guess ill be dropping motorS next weekend and cleaning the new one up some, not going crazy with it, just a quick scrub down and throw my painted stuff on it. Then the other car will start being stripped

now for the "hmmm". One of the reasons for getting the other car, other than the motor and rare blue interior parts was that it has Trac Control, how hard would it be to install that from the other car into mine, and is it worth it? I plan on getting 3:73s with TL one day.

yeah, looking at the pics, your car looks to be in better condition. I am just glad to see that there is still good people in the world who give what they can despite tough times to help someone else out. That is a rare thing these days because people are all about themselves. I am sure you will be on the road again good as new!:D LVC kicks @ss!!!

Gen 1 TC is worthless and not worth the time/effort, imho. That said, I wonder how different the harnesses are, as in I wonder if there is an empty plug behind the shifter trim where the TC button would go...

There's not, I've had mine apart several times, would have to run wires. Since I plan on gears in the future, I think I'll leave it alone

Since you plan on a trac-lok in the future, leave it alone. It ain't worth anything anyways.

Ok, now with that being said..is the abs pump swappable? Abs ecu? Mine has an abs issue, and without that special 60 point hookup adapter I can't diag it

Schweet! If you find one You'll have to save it for a few weeks tho, tax stuff should be in by the 20th

Can you see if there's a base 93? It's gotta be a base 93, all other use a different part number...I'll have to get bill to pull mine and get the number

if he has torx bits, or else I'll have to go out there tomorrow and get it

all 93's are base what other kind of mark VIII do you think there was in 93?
He ment no option car. He ate lots of paint chips as a kid so just leave him be in the corner with his crayons.

*watches as Sapperfire puts trash can on his head and rams the wall*

That really blows... my friend just junked a low optioned early production '93 without traction control a couple months back. (car was pretty well used up)

Mine has no options-base- you know what I meant!
keep it up Bill, I know where you sleep!

You know, since all Marks have ABS, and only some of them have the traction control button, and some of them don't. Your solutions MAY be as simple has adding the the bezel with the traction control button. I'm putting my dash back together, and the male side of the plug is part of the main harness wrapped with a silicone protector. The bezel plugs into it. It could be that the bezel will just plug in and work. Something you may want to check out.

i have yet to see a first gen that doesnt have trac control, have the plug for the trac control switch, never seen it yet.

Mine does not have the wire for a non-existing button.. I messed with the trac-control today alot since the roads are slick, it's worthless on a Gen1. So now my only quest is to figure out WTF is wrong with my abs and fix it

the only thing I can think of is it's got to be an electrical issue, I don't have splash shields, I hit some puddles and the abs light would blink, then I hit a big puddle and it came on and never went off. So something in the front left wheel well got wet and shorted out. I've swapped the relay under there with the one from my air ride (which hasn't worked in years) that relay may be bad as well...I'll swap it with the ones from the new car once I do the motor swap..no need in abs if the thing isn't running..lol
by the way, did I mention I hate OBD1...yeah
