power tour 2011 florida guys

i have never done this, but i was asked if i would like to join the power tour this year at least for part of it, i was thinking of making part of the run from cocoa beach fl to georgia. how many of you florida guys would want to do this? i will post more details and info if there is interest. could be a sweet way for us to have another meet and get to drive with some sick rides and possibly have magazine pictures taken. anyone? its going all the way to detroit but no way am i going that far!!

Do it, you'll enjoy the hell out of it, especially with a caravan.

I did the first leg last year, it was a blast. You should definitely go for at least one part, since it's close.

I did Detroit with Driller 2 years ago. Alot of fun. Its really neat to see the variety.

as jeb said the tour came thru our town this year. it is crazy to get up in the morning drive around 200 mile with a bunch of super cool cars. then clean them up to show try and get some sleep and do it again. those that get their LONG HAUL jackets earn them. i took over 300 pictures of the tour from one spot that was a stop sign and had them backed up for 3 miles before a cop showed up to flag them thru . later he asked what the black marks where . i smiled and said i know your smarter than that he just smiled. so go for it if you can and enjoy.

It`s fun to watch it go by too. Got to watch em roll thru town before work a couple of years ago,...12 hrs. later.....Got to watch em all leave. Gateway Drag Strip was one of the stops.

its free to just go to the shows but it cost money if
you want you car in the shows at each city
we just follow along but if you do more than one stop
and are staying the night get your hotels now

i live in lake valencia, butts up against lake saint george off tampa rd. i am in between tampa rd and curlew road. my wife's mother lives in dunedin right off 580 ( main st ) near belcher and 580. i am very familiar with this whole area from hernando county all the way to southern pinellas county, st. pete, tierra verde area my line of work puts me all over this peninsula!
