I catch a lot of women driving LS's in Florida, so I guess that would make the LS a woman's car......wait a second......a galant is a womans car........the LS looks like a galant......I think you know the rest

I never knew there was a feud between fox and SN95 guys... and I own both...
although I gotta say, the SN95's are soooo much stiffer and even quieter inside. Although I love the legroom in a fox and the low weight....
As for the skirted Mark... I'm surprised there isnt a continental kit on it in that pic! LOL

I am a huge Mustang nut and have owned ... allot. I am on StangNet all the time and since I love them all (except the Mustang II) I go to all the forums and the SN guys call the Foxes nice but outdated and not near the car the SN is. The Fox guys say the SN cars are for their girlfriends and ugly.
Everyone agrees that the Terminator is cool as hell.... man I miss mine
But the Fox guys really bicker with teh S197 guys! lol!
Its all in good fun though.
I worked at Ford when the LS came out and I remember being very un impressed with it.
I know the moment I fell in love with my Mark though. It was when it downshifted to second at 40 MPH and instantly put a car length on a new Hemi Charger and then kept walking away.
Love that damn land yacht.... even though it is lighter then my Termi was.

I like my LS, it does what its supposed to do, handle nice, transport me, my wife, and 2 guests comfortably and embarass Mr fartpipe on the freeway on ramps. I have the V6 so I'm not trying to outgun anyone.

Having owned both an LS and a Mark 8 - I can say that they're very different cars.
Have kids? Mark 8's suck.
Wanna go fast off the line? Both cars suck.
High speed (140mph) stability - Mark is sloppy, LS is solid.
Wanna corner? The Mark sucks, LS is perfect.
If only Ford had put a little more quality into the LS platform, I wouldn't have sold the damn thing - it was a very nice, but problem prone car.
And yes - I'm a jealous Gen1 owner, I love the Gen2's even if they're 'slower'

I have a son and find it easier than most cars I've had to get him in and out of his car seat. The auto-glide feature really makes it easy. The only car I've owned yet that was easier to get into at times is my Mustang GT vert. I usually would leave the top down when I pulled her in the garage. When I put my son in the car I would just plop him in his car seat. When the top was up it was a bit harder but not really anything that would prevent me from buying the car.

1.I have to admit i kinda liked the first pic. The rear skirts were a cool twist i personally would never install.
2.The Mark VIII is way more comfortable and stylish than the LS. I dare an LS to run a 1/4 mile with me. I went and drove an LS a few months ago and found the interior to be bland like any other 4-door.
3.I love Gen 1 and 2. I want to keep my Gen2 for a daily driver and build a gen1 for the track. Right now i have 2 gen2's though.

Don't get me wrong - I love both cars for different reasons. I do have to say that with both cars stock (as my LS was, and Mark8 is), the LS is much more fun to drive like a jack-ass in. I think it looked good, but it did look just like every other sport-lux sedan. Nothing looks like a Mark.
Here's a great reason to own a Mark over an LS - it's much cheaper to repair, and you don't have to do it near as often!
Autoglide is a cool feature in the Mark - except the wifey love to pull into our driveway (instead of backing in), the angle of the drive is too steep for the seat to stay forward (and the doors to stay open!).

relax ladies, both cars are nice. The later model LS is sharp looking as well as the sport editions. The earlier models look like galants, but Im sure are still nicer than many boring 4 doors. I've never owned an LS but am kicking around the idea of picking up a LS8 SE. But the mark will always be my favorite child.
