well after losing power steering on my way home, now the car has been in warmer weather for the past few days and tonight i pulled it in the shop to wash and wax it until its detailed, i smell something fowl near the bottom of the pass side of the windshield, whatever, cant narrow it down so i blow it off. i back out hours later and go to leave and turn on the heat and almost puke, there is something dead somewhere inside the duct work, my guess, a mouse, now i get to tear the entire dash and duct work apart to get it out, unf***ing real. this should be a blast.

Cursed cause you love it too much. It knows it now and wants attention, so........it swallowed a mouse in anger. Poor mouse we should be saying.lol:D :D :D just enjoy the fact you have it to work on.

Ah yes, that is a GREAT smell.

I had a dead squirrle wedged in the runners of my intake manifold for 7 months- my mechanic finally took it out and charged me 15 bucks for "body discharge". told my mom i had a hooker in the trunk.

Hell a seasoned disassembler as yourself, that shouldn't take more than 30 minutes!

Just let it rot to the bones and don't turn on the heat. Hell, you're in Florida, why do you need heat? Ever parted duct work before lol

I got an idea. Swap it with Pete's duct work. :D

would it be possible to make a tool to go in the ducts?

I wonder if Jaime can overcome the urge to part after he starts to tear it apart;)

would have never smelled had it not went to florida either...

dat sucks jamie..but atleast you got er home safe..

this could get ugly kids

that car could be entirely apart by sunrise, complete with a youtube crazy man chainsaw video...he does have a scary haircut.

snuffs out the smoldering tampon string

ya'll STOP!

Nah, there will just be a parts for sale post.

I donno, I kindof get a kick out of fixing stuff on my new rides. You get a bit of satisfaction from finding out whats making your car stink so bad. However, I havent dismantled 9816276196831986165 Mark VIIIs, so maybe its getting old.

Check the rocker panels!

He has and he said it wasn't there. I told him in a text that it was a rat, "just ask the Kid"

He sends back- "The effin rat ain't in the rocker panels. It only smells when I turn on the heat"

Me- "well then, the effin rat is in the duct work"

The rat got in from CT., in the garage when the car was parked and stored. Just so happens that he or the crew of rats, chose to get in the duct work. Probably a little more insulated and homely than a rocker panel. ;)

It's ok Jamie, much worse could be wrong other than a smell. Might even be a snake, who knows..... maybe the snake ate the rat / mouse.

Just remember Jamie, when you find the dead body and remove it do not keep removing car parts. I know its tuff but ya need to break that habbit this one time. :p
