Just found a 96 Blk on Blk LSC needs motor but hey no issue on that. If it turns out the rest of the car is as nice as it seems I am going to buy it. I am not going to tell her until I have it finished in the spring!!

Hey any thoughts on this. If the car is rough body wise as it is most likely the case is there any interest in the parts? Remember I am in Canada and shipping is going to be a bitch to some degree.

I say buy it. The octastars, hid headlight housings, and dual exhaust are worth $500. But I wouldn't part it unless you had to. Make sure it's not just the ac comp that's locked up. I once bought a 97 cheap because the guy thought the engine was locked up. Turns out the ac compressor was locked up.

No HID headlights on that one. I'd still get it though and buy that other engine I saw on here or somewhere for $700 and get some new headlight housings for it. All depending on what the inside looks like.

EDIT: FOund it- http://southjersey.craigslist.org/cto/2031167100.html

Looks to me like it has HID housings, they are just fogged up. Great find guy, good luck!

Yeah I was looking at that engine but I already have a 96' engine in my garage as a spare to my old Gen 1. To bad he's in Canada cause mine would be a drop in

HID housings don't have optical bubbles on the lenses. They are seen pretty good on the parking light lens close to the grille. I do agree though, they are in need of some new ones or being redone.

lsc hunter...if your parting out let me know im interested and would just swing down to your house to pick up parts.

I like how he fogged out the rear license plate in one pic, but forgot to do it on the other pic.

Well the scoop so far is I have not heard from the seller yet. I did search down the location of the car and slipped out of work and visited it. No HIDs, body is freaking clean for an Ontario car. Needs new chrome brow and a little work on the front left corner of the hood it is a bit scaley. Interior is freaking mint and no bubbling on the rims at all.

I am so impressed so far and I will hunt this owner down and own the car before the weekend!! I am not telling the wife and I already have a shop lined up to park her for the winter and do the motor swap.

If I was going to get a Gen 1 this would be it. I was looking at this car in person and it is really nice and it has changed my opinion of them. I would not buy it if it wasn't a LSC.

I will keep you all posted on the developments as they happen.

Hey Laser, thought you might appreciate the new Avitar!!!

OK I heard from the seller, it is mine and I think I got it for $400.00!!! I finally have a deal about to go through in my favour. Last few bombed out on me. I will get some more pictures of it tomorrow if the weather is good as they are calling for rain.

would you like sun and 84? thats what it is here still, all i want is cooler weather. good luck dude!

See, things like this just don't happen where I live.

You know what Jamie, I kind of like our weather here. Sun and 84 is nice but so is the cool weather and snow for a while. Kind of makes you appreciate the sun when you get it.

Ok, I own it and I did get it for $400.00. Talked him down the hundred in 30 seconds by telling him that is all I would give him for the car. It does have a seized motor. He has never had the car on the road and it hasn't been on the road in about three years. He has been fixing things on it for the last 8 months getting it ready. Moved it down from the shop he was working on it in and then parked it in front of his office. He started it and went into his office for a few minutes and on return it was making noise so he shut it off. Started it again and it was running rough and then stalled. It is toast as the oil pan was shot and all the oil drained out. Here are some pics I was rushed as I slipped out of work

Wow nice score! I actually saw that one listed on kijiji, since I'm searching for a cheap winter beater to keep the Lincoln and SHOs safe from the salt.

Good luck with the car, looks great

Side note: Would the '96 turn signal stalk work in a '93, because they look way better

Yes they will fit because they are EXACTLY the same.

When I get going on this 96 I will start a progress thread. For now it is just going to be put away for a few months while I gather some needed or wanted parts for this and my 98. I think the first thing on the list is the motor and a 98 trans, might as well do it at the same time.

This truely was a spur of the moment buy and I just wanted to try and save one that was a good example of the Gen 1.
