Sh*t if i had the cash id buy it, yours the way it is right now is better than mine after replacing everything but the hood and radaitor support.

if you take all your mods off and put it back to stock, crashed like that you'll be lucky to get 800 bucks, specially if its got over 100k

I think Jamie's right...

I got all kinds of stupid offers for my car (not by people on here) And it just made me want to keep it that much more. That, and not being able to find another first gen that was as "together" as mine was.

Now you seem to be in the same situation as I was. Busted Mark and no daily driver... There's gotta be a cheap car out there, or like he said, pin the hood shut and roll with it. It aint gotta be pretty, it just has to move. Atleast your hood is metal and didnt fillet itself! LOL

I know it hurts the pride to roll around in a beat up mark... I just have a feeling you're not going to find another one that satisfies you the way yours did. No other Mark will be Your Mark.

Atleast it was a van at 25 and not a 10pt buck at 60.
 
Sorry to hear about this! There are some awesome deals out there on barely used Mark VIIIs.. plus you now have the luxury of having spare parts if you keep the old one.
 
Man that blows, to try and lighten up the situation... your lucky you didn't get in trouble for putting it in the rear end of a seventeen year year old girl......Man i would hate to be in your situation.
 
This just made me decide to keep the 93 I have setting out back. Here in Alabama, hitting someone in the rear is 99% "your fault" and also, here in Alabama, I can't even get full coverage insurance on my car. Liability only but my insurance, "if" it's a front end collision is setting out back and the body parts are in the attic in the same color, thanks to dear ole dad wrecking his.

I would fix my car back Laser. Find a cheap DD and get those parts from Jamie for $300 and get it back together. Or.... since you really wanted that moon roof, go for that black on black you found but keep the wreck. It comes in handy when you have one to take parts from when needed. I would not sell that car.
 
Texas is the same way, you hit the rear of someones car you will be found at fault...
I cant believe that they didn't ticket "someone".....that's very odd.

Laser, I'm not saying this was your fault..by any means.. I wouldn't kick a man when he's down..in such a manner.

If they didn't ticket Laser, then they much have felt it was an un avoidable collision, which would put the other driver at fault.

Something is very very fishy.

Go to the DMV, pay the 3-5.00 and run a "telex" on the license plate.
The owner of that car IS liable for the damages that were caused to your vehicle, REGARDLESS if the driver was ticketed or not.

you need to tell that kids parents your injured, and unless they repair your car that they will be paying to support you for a very long time.

The kid is a minor, her parents ARE liable for her actions and damages she causes thru negligence or omission.

If the owner of the vehicle and the parents aren't one in the same, then the amount of pockets you can dip into just doubled.

SOMEONE is liable if this wasn't your fault Laser.

Sorry bout your ride, that really sucks.

But take some time and realize that the car "sacrificed itself" to protect you.
Think if you had been driving a beater dodge neon or something else...
not only would you be frustrated, you'd be in pain/injured as well.

The guy wants 1800 for it.
needs some work, but between your car and his car you should be able to get a good solid car under your butt.

Damn, the deals are always too far away from me. If I was there, I would buy that car right now. I like the color and interior color. Those chrome 18's would look good on there too Laser. All the electrical internals from your 97 trans could be swapped over to the 98 trans within an hour because it's just that simple. Re-pin harness and never have to drop the transmissions out of either for all of this.

Tommy, will you follow me 1/2 way home? :D
