So we finally got it together and did a test fire. She still makes the same noise but at first it was accompanied by a loud squeal which was most definatly a crank bearing. Very loud and went away after enough oil was pumped in. This is a very sad day for me.
I have to make some calls and speak to some of you on here on the phone to decide what I am gonna do. Realize I am flat broke right now and am unemployed. I will not make this decision lightly and will weigh all my options over the next several days as I decide what I want to do.
The blower will be sold weather its on the car or not. I will sell the blower with everything needed for install should I decide to part the car or without fuel rail if I keep the car. So anyone wanting a COMPLETE KB setup for a Mark then PM me and we will get down to brass tax.... or tacs..... whatever.
The logistics and cost of getting a motor here are substantial and will eat away about half of what I sell the blower for. On top of that I really don't wanna do an engine swap. Sapperfire is all about helping me do it and I applaud him but the size of the job including pulling a donor and then getting it here and then installing it are making me dizzy.
So I am also seriously considering parting out the whole car. I have a buyer for the wheels and for a little more I am sure he will take the newish tires too. I would keep the new OEM Air Ride crap, the brakes, the braces, exhaust, stereo and rear end. Difference is this time I would get a Mark in the color I want and with an OEM moon roof. You all don't know how much that crap bugs me on my car. Yeah its nice but it still bugs me.
I sincerely think the car is a jinx. Yeah the engine was 100% my fault for running it so long at 17lbs of boost but gawd dang I have never had a single car get hit so many times ...... much less in such a short time. Plus I don't like graphite interior.
