I found a performance shop!

Nice. What exhuast are you running?

2.5" pipe you will lose low end torque. You'll gain hp in the higher RPM ranges though. Depends on where you want your power. This car is already a DOG from a dead stop.

a dog from a dig...I don't know Pete...a first Gen yeah...but 2nd Gens come out of the hole much better because of the VCT (something like 87% of available torque by 2k rpm)...makes the car feel grunty down low..at least for a 4 liter

this car is what it is...you can't expect alot

Yeah, but by the time you hit 100, your competition will be WAY ahead of you :p

BS, I have raced a lot of different cars. There is really not that many that can get by, for street cars mind you. Only had a few cars get by on me, that was a turbo'd civic, a turbo'd GTiR swapped Sentra, and a newer mustang gt. All three were only by a half car, and all three should have won. They were very close runs.

The Lincoln holds its own for what it is, and will take out the newer years of mustangs with ease (pre 05 i believe). Thats a win IMO, and if you want something faster get something else.

Troof, and this appears what Ford does. They increase torque over hp to make you feel like your fast, but like nearly every ford out there falls flat on its face. :p Hence why I chose to put HP first over torque, and I was pleased with the results.

Also, LS's are dogs out of the hole. You just don't notice, give it some :q:q:q:qty LSD, low power numbers, and a good amount of weight. Presto! :q:q:q:qty 60' times. :D

Post #53;

The LSD may not be what your thinking, but IMO and knowledge.. You have either LSD (many types) or open diff.

Open diff is not what the LS has.

When Terri asked me what is on the car and what are you looking for before he did my tune. SCT, catback, cold air. 93 oct, want to get out of the hole and chirp 2nd in D4 and I dont give a rats ass about MPG, that's what I got.

i wouldn't try that sh1t around here, the LS is definitely one of the slowest cars on the road, there's nothing but S4's, RS4's, CTS-V's, M3's, AMG's, SRT's and a few STI's in Ann Arbor, and if you go south of town you get closer to the dragway the chances of finding a un-modded pony or EVO that will play are slim to none.

Where do you get 93 octane from?

Engines r all the same, mine is a 3.0 V6 that if I build it and put twins in it will be racing supras, m3s and a lot of 6 bangers. The fact that LSs are usually slow is because to make them fast u have to go custom, and not everyone wants to spend time and money to accomplish that. Thats I believe why LSs r usually built by owners as a luxurious ride.
For example, on wednesday night, a turbo D16 single cam v-tech beat the crap out of a new M3 V8. My brother's srt-4 on big turbo stock engine took a tunned ZO6 for like 100 cars, engines are math. So stop talking like if the LS is slow and there is nothing to do about it.

every where here has it, only a few places have 91 and they charge the same price, hell sunoco even has super 94

Does the 94 turns ur check engine light on?? Will it b safe? The hang out I usually go to is in a Sunoco station where they have a couple of race fuels, but since Im not running my car yet I havent tried any.

I thought 93 octane was illegal in california or banned or something like that. Thats why there is only 91 and all other states have 93 octane

everybody always talks about there big kills with their LS's, there are a few people that i believe, most i do not, everybody spends plenty of time and money on there LS, and a few have made them a hell of a lot FASTER, there only so much you can do when nobody makes any parts for a car, if the LS has so much potential as you say, show me a 10 second LS, hell show me a 11 second LS

94 is not race fuel.

Why wouldn't you build it? Do you not want to go custom? Or is this just another case of talking out one's ass?

So stop talking like if the LS is slow and there is nothing to do about it.

It is. It's just a sad fact.

fast is relative. I don't need a 10 second car. or an 11 second car. Especially not my dd. I'll be happy with 13's, which I think is VERY achievable. Hopefully both of the mods are going to happen this winter. Then run it and see the results this spring.

Engines r all the same...

No they are not all the same, some are heavy and some are light, some are strong and fast, some are weak and have parts that make them fast, some are just weak with no hope

...mine is a 3.0 V6 that if I build it and put twins in it will be racing supras, m3s and a lot of 6 bangers...

Everybody always wants to talk about what they could or want to do, few actually can or do

...So stop talking like if the LS is slow and there is nothing to do about it.

How about you stop talking like your LS isn't slow and that you have done something about it.

It is definitely not one of the slowest cars on the road, not even close. but its always the same argument here..

Not so much with a 75shot! :)

But I did loose horribly to my SRT4. :D

Its not to hard to make, so my friend say's, He makes his own Booster.

I know you can make it but its a lot easier if its available at the pump and it adding an octane booster to make 93 the same as getting 93 from the pump?
