Well, if he babies his car, and you drive like a jackass, then he probably gets better mileage.

Engine size is not definitive of mileage. Driving habits, fuel filter cleanliness, etc. all have more of a part than just the argument of v6 vs. v8.

I don't have pictures yet, But I'm charging the battery to my wife's camera right now so i should have some later of my wet, but unwashed LS. It does not have the phone and has two cup holders, one larger then the other.

Also you should really keep track of your fuel economy IMO. It's a good indicator of when something is going bad when your fuel economy starts dropping and it isn't because of your driving habits. I haven't had enough time to test my fuel economy yet, I just got it two weeks ago. I've been tuning up the engine and reseting the computer after new battery(no choice), then after changing the plugs, then after changing the fuel filter. I'd guess I'm getting low 20's MPG. I still have a high idle issue though and I'm 99% sure it's not the PCV or the IAC.
 
Well mine is running funny, Ive replaced all plugs, oem coils and took the inyectors to a friend of mines garage where he has a preshure machine that cleans them really well. But it still runs funny, has a missfire on cylinder 5, I gotta plug in the scanner to get the code tho.

Thats the console I want!! but cant find it Ima check at the dealer as I couldnt find it online.

About gas mileage, I drive really slow most of the time. Anyways, my point is, under same conditions, my engine get better mileage and the manual t. helps a lot.

You mean you don't get a check engine light but if you plug in a scanner the code comes up? Have you cleared the code and see if if it comes back?

About the engine light, it turns on and off with time. It was off since sunday, today is on. But even if it goes off the computer saves the code. I think my catalytics r bothering. 146k miles already.

I Don't even know what rims you have. Also you live in Miami, it's cost a lot to ships rims both ways.

On the interior I didn't want black first, but it was the only thing I could find within 1500 miles of me. As it is I had to travel out of start to get it. I'm used to it now and like it but I still worry about the summer ahead...

Cool still in cal though. We're getting more california people recently, maybe the next meet attemp wont fail horribly.

Attempt at a meet? I'm be willing to do a drive for that. And if it's near Oxnard I'd be willing to make the drive because my brothers stationed there. Of course the depends on the situation at the time.
 
Yeah a few months ago one got started and there were like 9 member going to meet then it fell and I tried starting the list up again and it didn't work.

Well try to include me for the next one. Driving long distances has me thinking about getting an underdrive pulley for my LS. Being a 5 speed it spins the engine at higher then normal speeds on the HWY so I'm considering it, but it's $300. It's made for the mazda 6/ford fusion v6 but so far my research is showing that that pulley should bolt up to my V6 as they are almost the same long blocks.
 
Cool! Got it.We would prob do it at a neutral spot so not only one person has to drive a longs way to get there.

The only problem with that is they are FWD, that will make them different that ours. But, hey if you get the pulleys in hand and can do a closer check just maybe.
 
I'm trying to get ahold of some more information on the one for the fusion(BTW I have one, just the 4 cyl model) and compare it to the LS 3.0. They look to mount the same and remove the same so as long as the front of the crank is the same then we are in business.

I could race NYC LS8's srt with that in my car, I would've to relocate the intercooler as I dont like hood scoops :D

You'd have massive traction issues, you could probably do a 4th or even 5th gear burn out with that in a manual. But keep in mind that they do make stand alone traction control units made for applications like that. That's what the Noble user that owns that engine is planning on doing.
 
Honestly I wouldnt want such a powerful engine, to me makes no sense spending so much money on a car just to go straight, its just not me.
Last night my brothers srt4 on stock engine beat a fully built t70 srt4, a turbo GT2, a GSXR 750 and a TT cobra. I was amazed but my brothers srt cant take a turn for $h!t !! and braking is disgusting at 180mph, all it can do is a straight line race in a 60 miles roll.. WTF is that !!?? Thats not fast to me. My slow a$$ LS would beat it so bad auto crossing ! :D
 
How does a stock srt4 beat all of those on a roll from 60

That's not a race, most races I have ever raced are decided in the first 60' not starting at 60mph. Anything more then a 5mph so called "street start" is just gay. Tells me the racer doesn't know how to control his ride.
