I see these a lot, oddly most just want to check out the car, the others wanna search it

Grandma style with slipping transmission :D
But once I got that fixed, there will be WOT at every redlight ;)

Oh goodie. I'm not the only one that drives in a very spirited manner most of the time. I can't help it. The high stall ya know. It just stays high on the tach. Not my fault. Can I just get a warning officumer? :shifty::p

I would suggest you wait until the light turns green. :p

I've driven pretty normal the last year or two. Primarily because I want to get max mpg and to prolong my trannys life, it isn't getting any younger @ 143k.

What is hypermiling?

Hypermiling is the act of driving using techniques that maximize fuel economy. Those who practice these techniques are referred to as "hypermilers."[1]

Hypermiling can be practiced in any vehicle regardless of its fuel economy. It gained popularity as a result of the rise in gasoline prices during the 2000s.[2] Some hypermiling techniques are illegal in some jurisdictions because they are dangerous.[3]

Hypermiling has come under fire from several quarters due to claims of dangerous or unlawful behavior by some hypermilers,[5] such as tailgating larger vehicles on freeways to save fuel. As a result, the Hypermiling Safety Foundation was formed in August 2008 to promote a safety and public awareness program, advocating legal fuel-saving techniques.

Same here. Just trying to take care of my car and not be fixing this and that every time I turn around. I don't grandma the car. It does see a WOT rarely but I don't stay on it long either. Like (sbcaprice), saving that gas. If the power is needed, I know it's there.

We're on the same page. I don't have the need to show everybody that it can move anymore. I might wot for a short distance maybe once every couple weeks. I won't lie though, the first couple years I had it I drove like an ass. ;)

I voted drive it like you stole it but i don't drive like that anymore lost my license 7 time's .
But i am far from driving it normal like today i only slid the ass end out 2 times.

Ten years of Mark VIII's for me, and I still can't help it! Puts a smile on my face!

ive always drove everything like i stole it.boat, motorcycle and the mark. just got my new 4.10's and trac loc should be here by mon. that should keep my highway speeds down, i regularly roll at 90-100.im going back to roots style 1/4mile. had a 74 2dr impala custom that i took out the 350 and put in 502. used to pull tires up in second! was a 10 sec car but with th350 tranny and 4.10's 31" mickeys. im considering the lincoln the sleeper.as it is it will hang with or beat most ricers or wanabe's for sure.the old 5.0's no prob in stock form but you dont see many of those anymore and the early z28's until about 94 on.
it wasnt until 2007 i cleared all my suspensions in 5 different states and 4 counties in florida.i had suspensions in places ive never even been to! west va., arizona, i went through kansas once but wasn't stopped. i tried like hell to clear all the stuff up but someone had my id took alot of $$ to do it , then the state i came from,Mass i had suspensions from 1987-89 for car stereo stuff and window tint they kept on the books and to this day ive paid the fines, and they wont reinstate me until i appear in front of a judge with all the actual papers, no copies, no fax nothing. they have one guy at mass DOT well 2 but hes the supervisor and is the biggest a$$hole on earth. im going to visit gramma June 12 for a week and ive tried for three months to get an appointment anywhere and cant even told them im in a wheelchair, they dont give a rats ass i got to go to the courthouse for a day, yay!drive safe!

It's my DD, so mostly normal.

However, I am prone to the occasional "spirited romp"

Hmm, guess my driving habits DID change when it became my dd. It all makes sense now.

I drive my car like I'm mad at it...if it doesn't get floored atleast once a day I'm doing it wrong

Redline shifts all the time...testing it's durability
