G-RELL's Full PLasti Dip & Others

My own little plasti-dip experiment. I have been debating on painting my wheels white. Was not sure about it. So I plasti-dip the driverside wheels. I have decided to paint the wheels white to match my TBSS.

I am removing the dip. Going to have them painted to match the TBSS. Buddy going to charge me $300 to do the set of 4.

the TBSS is screaming for the StormTrooper look!

Tinting the windows. B & C pillars getting wrapped black. Wheels getting painted Summit White. Tomorrow, lowering the rear end 2 inches & the front end 1 inch. Starting on the stereo install tomorrow. Trying to have it done before summer arrives.

Most TBSS owners the exact same mods and colors. Black wheels, debadge, lower, exhaust, CAI done. Repeat, repeat, repeat, etc..... To think outside the box, it's not accepted. You should have seen the comments, when I posted pics of the white wheels...lol.... Several suggested gunmetal or black. They already are black..lol... Lot of negative feedback. Until an OG member posted up liking it. Turns out, he got sick of the black wheels too. Plasti-dip his chrome wheels white. He is one of a handful that have chrome wheels. Once I got his "blessing". They have backed off on the negative feedback.

You are right on that one, all TBSS around Chicago are all blacked out and almost all of them look the same, it is rare to see a white one like yours, its a shame that you need approval of another person for everyone else to like them, I personally think they look good white

I never have been the type of person to follow every else. I have always thought outside the box. I got the same "hater" reaction from the Chevy Beretta community. Yes, I did say Chevy Beretta community. I think they were the worst group. Changing the exterior was "off limits". EVERY Beretta was to be stock looking. PERIOD. Not up for debate. It was performance mods ONLY. Unless you were doing a GTZ or Z26 clone. Took me years for them to accept me. Like I gave a chit....lol.... I do what I do. Love it or leave it...lol

sounds awful, I dont think I can live without modifying( interior and exterior) any vehicle that I own, as long as Im happy when I look back at my car then nothing else matters ( except compliments , i like compliments haha)

Don't we all. It's nice when someone acknowledges your hardworking and efforts.

BTW Dropped the Rearend of the TBSS 2 inches this morning. What you think white or black?

I do like the white over the original wheel color, but all white almost looks a little too much... maybe just a tiny bit a black added back in (not much) near the center/hub?

I am debating about saving the silver design and keeping some of the black in the center.

thats the best part of plastidip, you can change it everyday until you find the perfect winning combo, then pull it and have it permi-painted.

Thank you to ALL the members here with your help and sales!

Still have 2ng gen headlights to be wired and installed (after a few more modifications :) )
and a project for all first gen owners hopefully soon! :shifty:

Awesome job man. The headrests are on point. I think a blacked lower grill would set off the new upper grill nicely.

Mirrors are good, did you paint or just buy black ones?

Engine cover looks good, too! Stock-esque.
