You two know jamie - he is waiting for someone to deliver his eulogy!
Eulogy For Jamie
Read by his online friend and state neighbor Raped Ape on January 30, 2011 on LVC online website.
Opening verses from the Bible Ecclesiastes Chapter 3
1 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
2 a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;
3 a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;
4 a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
5 a time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
6 a time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;
7 a time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
8 a time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.
9 What profit hath he that worketh in that wherein he laboreth?
10 I have seen the travail, which God hath given to the sons of men to be exercised in it.
11 He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end.
I stand here before you as the chosen representative online LVC family to say a few words about our beloved Jamie.
The large number of people present here today is a testimony of just how many cared for our LVC website buddy Jamie AKA BAD97LSC.
In the novel "Wide Sargasso Sea," author Jean Rhys writes: "As for my confused impressions they will never be written. They are blanks in my mind that cannot be filled up."
These words convey the difficulty a writer or a speaker experiences when attempting to find the appropriate vocabulary when seeking to express how they really feel on the inside. But at times like this words appear to be a mere shadow of what we are really feeling and it seems almost vulgar to say anything at all as it takes away from the sacredness of what is taking place in the heart.
Nevertheless, we must pay our last respects even if it is with the knowledge that our words fall short of what we wish to convey.
Jamie was a very special man. He came onto our website LVC Nov 2006 from way of Palm Harbor Florida. I think we can all agree that Jamie was a very easy person to get along with.
He had an active adulthood being involved with autos and the such, especially Lincoln Mark VIII’s. He also loved being online with his fellow online friends sharing the same love with others of the Lincoln Mark VIII.
As he grew into manhood he had his share of life's disappointments and stresses like the rest of us. As Job 5:7 says "Yes man is born unto trouble, as the sparks fly upwards." But through it all he maintained such a remarkably mild disposition, which was admired by many.
Many times he would have to leave home to seek employment elsewhere but he always returned to his home where is heart continued to remain. It is God's blessing - who chose to take Jamie at this time - that he was home, and what can be more precious than being home and surrounded by those who love you?
Many times I would go online and ask all "How's Jamie?" I don't need to ask that anymore for I know he is in the hands of a loving and merciful God.
Jamie, our hearts are filled with sadness over your being taken from us, but we are also filled with gratitude over the time we had together. We will always miss you and love you, and you will forever remain in our hearts.
With Love,
Your online LVC family
PS: I have first dibs on his Mark VIII.
