Dodged a bullet?

You sure like to run your mouth or fingers. Have you ever heard the phrase, "If you don't have something nice to say, shut your :q:q:q:qing mouth? I was in a rush this morning and :q:q:q:qed up one sentence. So sue me. Call me old fashioned but these days its real easy to hide behind a computer and talk :q:q:q:q. Does putting someone down make you feel good? Its that kind of attitude that makes people not want to help anyone.
Jeasus Christ Francis, lighten the fock up! I thought you were someone who could take a little jab when they said something really stupid and take it in stride. I fock up all the time, someone jabs and I laugh and correct myself. I aint an internet tough guy, im just a guy. Wanna engauge in fisticuffs then PM me and ill give you directions but that was not my intent.

So here is the error in your reply. The fires are caused because of an electrical fault in the switch and the wire melting and setting the brake fluid on fire. If there is no power because the battery is disconnected then how is that wire gonna short out and melt and catch on fire?

Butt don't hurt. Sick of :q:q:q:q talkers.
If your going to post here....grow your skin a little thicker.

Laser is actually going easy on you compared to how some of the people post on this board.

Master cylinder going bad?
Could be but doubtful.
In the past when I had one go bad they just go bad...not bad...good....bad ...good.

Could it be a sticking caliper?
Nope.

I found a pic now that I had a little time to search again.
Thread is here

I do not have this double fused jumper harness installed on my car, all the data bases say there is no recall on my car....but it was never done.

This is going to be a party at the dealer I am sure......going to print out pics and bring them with.

I am not so sure it will fix the car but at least I can stop with my nightly batt. routine.

Yessssir.

We been back and forth already today, talking about tis and tat.

You knows.

Have you checked for any leaks under the master cylinder. Also, if you had no air, that should have meant that your compressor wasn't turning. No 134a means no compressor turn, unless it's just low and then it usually will come on and go off, over and over. Make sure belt is up to snuff too.

When you added some 134a, that made the compressor kick on and get hotter than it's used to being if it hasn't been on in a while. Something could have been on it that burned off or the freon leak itself could be coming inside the cabin with you. On a muggy night, start the car outside, turn the air on Max AC and see if your windows start to fog up within 10 or 15 min.

As for the cruise issue, Kirk, take your car there quick. I have taken the 93, 94 & 95 and had all three done. I took them personally. Guess what? I still get letters in the mail saying that they haven't been done. 93, 94, 95 and I know they have. I watched them do the work. I didn't actually see the 93 because it was a bitch and had to be taken in the back but the 94 and 95 was done right there in the roll through of the shop. Please check for brake fluid leaks all around that master cylinder. Even though my fire is not related to any of this, I'm giving you a reminder pic. ;)

I had air just not real cold it was cycling so You could tell it was low.
I never run the air, but its a must have for a woman whose monthly time has arrived.

It will get done, I thought it was until this whole brake crap came up.
Believe me I don't want to burn up this car.

Yeah, his fire really made me think and after setting in one while the front end explodes will live with me forever. I thought I was dead. If I ever feel a funny break pedal, I'm stopping, even if I have to stop traffic and getting the fire extinguisher out of the trunk with quickness. I don't want another one burning on me. I check for master cylinder leaks weekly now also.

Since your compressor is most likely coming on and going off, it may just be the belt slipping but doubtful. I think the 134a is slowly leaking into the cabin through the vents. If you get the system full and cold, on a hot day, you will usually see a steamy frost coming out of the vents if it's leaking into the car with you. If the leak is too slow, you may never even see it but someone with a sniffer can find it.
