Not very well apparently. :(

I had been getting a clunk when parking and turning the wheels close to full lock. Turns out the clunk isnt from suspension or steering parts failure. It seems that the inside lip wieght on the wheel comes into contact with the spindle when the wheel is turned all the way.

So I will have Discount Tire fix that issue next week.

Because I was searching for that noise I went over all my new components and was pretty bummed to see what I saw.

My passenger side UCA ball joints boot is ruptured.

So I will call Bill at SCP on Tuesday and have him send me a new UCA.
Then after checking everything else I could see both outer tie rods boots are split in half and dumped the grease all over both wheels. I pushed them into place and lubed them and gues I will lube them every other day while I wait for Bill to send me some new boots as well.

Damn shame after 7500 miles they are like this already.

I am kinda glad that the noise is the weight, I was worried it was a ball joint and I sure didnt want to change them yet again.

Fuggin car just will not stop demanding my attention.

I can't remember if you changed your rack recently, but have you checked to make sure the steering rack limiters are installed?

Every single bushing, controll arm, link, tie rod etc etc is new and from SCP. Only the struts are from Ford and they are new too. Yes the limiters are on the rack. Its not from the rack going to far. The wheels are wide and the weight sticks out too far. Thats why I dont run larger then 245 up front. 255 would work but the sidewall height isnt right to match the rears. Anything larger then that and the tire would hit the spindle.

The metal components of the SCP stuff seems ok so far like all the ball joints but the rubber for them is sub par.

As to who makes them, not a clue and Bill wont say. They are from Taiwan though.

I am gonna see if Energy makes boots. If so I will buy them and have SCP reimburse me for them.

Look like OE brand (not to be confused with OEM). I swear that company picked that name just so noobs would buy it. "OE"... or "OEM"...

Anyway. That sucks, not only potential damage but now time set aside to replace.

I will ONLY buy "name brand" TRW or MOOG from Advance or Rock Auto. Period. There is NO reason to go SCP unless its know to be a custom fab run or some solid reason they are superior.

energy suspension makes red polyurethane dust boots that fit perfect, they can be picked up at any autozone. The fact that he will not release the name of the brand or supplier that he gets his suspension components from is the reason I'll never buy suspension parts from him. I refuse to put subpar unknown parts on my cars especially something as important as suspension related components which could lead to serious injury or death if they are infact an inferior quality. I bought my fuel pump from him and the first thing I did was cross reference the part number on it through the walbro website. I came in a box packed with crumpled junk mail flyers in a plastic sandwich bag. No walbro box. The whole deal made me honestly reconsider buying from him ever again. It seemed very unprofessional. When I think of new parts I expect them to be in manufacturer packaging as if I picked it up off of a shelf in a store or warehouse not in a sandwich bag (not even a ziplock bag, it was a cheapy) with crumpled junk mail.

Ive already swapped out my SCP LCAs and sway bar end links with MOOG. Guess I better check my UCAs. Have a fairly violent shake coming from the front somewhere but I think its pass side caliper.

Learned my lesson and I knew better.

Look at the 2nd picture he posted with the upper control arm and tell me what you see.:D

hmmmm...I guess that would be the airbag, but since my car came with a coil conversion I haven't ever seen the airbag setup on a car yet ;)

I thought he made a post about putting Tokico's blues on and loving them.

Amen. I only want to do the job once and plan on doing it the way Lincoln and God intended, with factory parts.

Normally I would agree, but when it comes to the upper and lower control arms and other assorted front end parts, TRW is the OEM brand. See photos. So why spend twice as much going to a dealer then the exact same can be had for less at Advance and Rock.

Well I trusted Bill and wanted it all from the same place so I ordered from him. It wasnt a cost thing as hes about the same cost as all the other places. Beight SCP seemed like a good company that everyone orders from every now and then I thought it was cool. After I ordered them everyone came out of the woodwork saying they suck.

Oh well, live and learn. I just love spending all my money on this car....... NOT!!

I am gonna go test drive a 2011 GT today. I may leave the Mark at the dealer.

Yea, I had a shop do my UCA and LCA only to get clunks, squeaks and a few busted boots a year and about 5k miles later.... they used BS brand of course. Got Moogs/TRW from Rock auto ready to be installed this week :)

OMFG! I would be so freaking jealous! Even the 2011 sixxer is nothing to sneeze at. Both are beastly to say the least!
If you do I'll trade you your rims for my octastars ;)
