Any good sources for a set if aftermarket HID's for my 95 for the halogen housings. looking for some that have a decent warranty, an support if its ever needed. thanks in advance

I got my 8000K from this seller and they are working perfect for me.

I had this same kit in my 94 from a different seller and I never had any problems with those either. They were 10,000K

The ones I have now look like this at night. Again, this is low beams on only with 8000K.

do not buy from xenon-hid-world from ebay...bought 2 sets 6000K one for my lincoln and one for my buddy's 06 monte carlo SS, my set fried over the first weekend...and his set fried about a month later, both a messed up balace...they have a good warranty, but not worth for me to send back and have to be out of headlights...i ended up finding a set locally $80 cash and have been awesome, 1yr replacement warranty...balaces are made in germany....the first set didnt have any country of origin or manufacture on it

I you're not in a hurry, I'll sell you what you see in the pic for $40 to your door if you can wait for me to get my 10,000K bulbs in. That's all I'll swap from the new box would be the bulbs. You would get new ballast and wiring and all. I might have 4 hours total on the current set that I have in now. I already sold you some mufflers so you know I'll do what I say and you'll get them. I just want 10,000K bulbs, that's my only reason for offering this. Either way, I'm getting a 10,000 kit lol.

what temp is the best to go with. nolimit pm sent

It's all preference really but most go with 6000K and some go with 4300K or 5000K but between 4300 and 6000K, it's a white light and the 8000K is white with a slight blue tint. I'll add a pic or two below for you to see in the front. The more kelvin, the more color you have and 10,000K has more blue than the 8000K

The higher the kelvin, the lower the overall light output. Optimal light output is at around 4300k. As you go higher, you lose overall light output. You get to like 13000k or something stupid like that, you can barely see compared to a 4300k/5000k bulb.

Stick with a 4300k to 6000k and you should be good. People that put greater than 6000 are just looking to be cool but yet don't mind sacrificing light output which just seems dumb to me.

Say to me all you want about "my 9000k bulbs are just fine and I never get flashed" or whatever but no matter what, if you put 5000k bulbs in there, you would see much better. Period.

i buy my kits from HIDSQUAD.COM they are local to me so i can get stuff i need in person which kicks ass.

I'm happy with the kit I bought from DDMtuning.com - another member recommended them, but a different member had a problem with shipping taking a long time.

Yeah freaking 14 days and my order is STILL processing! They took the money the day I placed the order. I'm calling on Monday because this is getting f'n ridiculous!

thats what you get for buying from them, you obviously didnt see what diesel dan went through, thats why i jump in the car and drive 15 minutes to get mine!

I think they're just selling so many kits they can't keep up. Their kits are quality and priced right.. But I'd only recommend them if it's not a time sensitive issue (wasn't when I bought mine, took maybe a week to get here.)

You guys who are having shipping delays, did you order them when they had their $29.99 for 35w version sale? Cause that might be part of the issue.

No I paid normal price. It's been 14 days and mine is still "processing" yet my car was charged 2 weeks ago.

i want to see the next person who buys these ddm things start another thread about how long it takes, after all you guys having the trouble you are why would anyone go and buy them. i'm all about saving money too but the kits i buy arent the cheap ass chinese things that only cost 40 bucks, think about it, how good can the quality be really, if you only spend 40-50 bucks on a whole kit, its gotta cost 50 bucks alone just to make the ballasts. i have bought the cheap hid's in the past and wont anymore, i got a bunch of bum ballasts and broken bulbs right out of the box.

same here 3 weeks and counting

I'm calling tomorrow. I read some shady crap about them on google. Supposedly people were getting the purchase price back but were charged a re-stocking fee and shipping because the items were backordered...in other words they never got a product but were charged fees because of the companies oversight. I wish I would have seen that sooner I'll let you know what they say.

Jamie I would have bought from your guy but he charges double the price and offers a one year warranty. Not only that but read the disclaimers in the warranty...not exactly a company I feel comfortable giving my money too...maybe they are good to you, but in my opinion the warranty is what differentiates one company from the next in terms of their ability to hide or dodge responsibility. If the warranty in place is good, even if the company defaults you still have full legal recourse to get re-imbursed for costs.

I don't know what DDM has but I know mine are rubber injected water proof / shock proof ballasts and have a 2 year warranty. They can be submerged in water and still work. Not one flicker from the kit I had in the 94 and not one flicker from the kit in the 95. The kit Jamie had in it when I bought the car has been good too. I don't know if it was from ebay or the new guy he gets from but it's been good. Ballasts are showing slight signs of rust near the screws but I moved them to the highs anyway. I never even have to turn them on. I think $50 is good seeing how I can send them back if they was to ever quit and if I get 2 years out of them, it's worth $50

Everyone has their own likes but just because someone says DDM tuning is best, that don't mean I'm gonna get what they have. I would rather get mine in a few days and not wait a month and in Jamie's case, I would rather spend $50 and wait a few days then to spend double to get them that day. I could pay for next day air and still get them cheaper. My kits are Xentec and I have had 2 of them. One burned with the whole car but it worked perfect. My experience with what I have now, same kit is working perfect. The link below sells the same thing I have also.

Ordered 2 set set last week they are in Fed-Ex hands and on the way ... This will make 3 sets I've purchased through DDM ... price and quality ... works for me.

Shipping hasn't been what I'd call slow... but I'm not expecting them delivered over night.

I ordered from DDM 3 weeks ago and they should be here tomorrow. It's kinda hard to complain when they say from the start that it will be 7-10 days before they process them. Granted its has been longer for me but I knew there would be a delay....

Yeah I'm not expecting them over night either. They were officially shipped out 17 days after my original order...I still haven't got them, but the tracking number through USPS says I'll be getting them tomorrow. It will have been 20 days from my order till the day I get them, if they do indeed arrive tomorrow.

Btw, their main number doesn't work. When you call you get an automated system, when you choose an option all of them say this number has been disconnected then re-kick you to the main menu? WTF? I called a different branch that doesn't deal with internet orders and they said they had the same problem when trying to contact them.

I sure hope the quality of the lights is better than the quality of service thus far!
