That definitely helped. I always wondered what was what in a diff. Thanks for that. It helps to now know what I'm looking at. I'm one of those people that works better visually than through text.

Well, this has been covered MANY times before, but I'm not a search Nazi.
I didn't see it covered here so I'll tell you the pinion plate on the 03-04 cobra pumpkin will not work in the VIII. You will need to order the rear driveshaft flange from the terminator and get a 1350/1330 conversion u joint to mate it to the viii's driveshaft.
I have a LOW mileage complete termi pumpkin sitting in the garage, but can't seem to find a set of cobra CVs cheap enough to make it worth it. I also have a 28 spline trak-lok diff I am thinking about swapping in to the cobra pumpkin. At 5000 miles I think the gears can be reset fairly easily, bearings should be good to go as well.

I HAVE this in my car you dont need to find a cobra drive shaft flange.
Take the flange out of your stock rear end and put it into
the cobra rear end its that simple
