Since the monthly winner of "LS of the Month" was used for the LS Calendar. Is there any interest in a 2011 LS calendar? Especially since we can't even get 5 entries for the "LSOTM" contest.

If there is interest in a calendar, I do have plans on how to pick 12 entries.
 
Sounds like a good idea. I am quite new to this site but I think I can contribute since my buddy takes some nice shots...

Nice photos. Boy how I wish I had a nice camera/knew how to use one!
 
I have interest in the calendar still. What is your idea for getting entries?
 
if I had a nice camera i would sumit my LS for the contest. I might be able to get a model with my car as soon as my work load is up. Gotta get the car detailed b4 photoshoot, I already got the photographer and model lined up

What are the ideas you have to pick the 12 entries, RollinLS?
 
we can still do august lsotm, we had three entries, and then the last 4 months we could do something else what are you ideas?
 
My idea is simple. Whoever is interested in getting into the calendar post a picture of your LS in a thread that I will start on a later date. There will be a deadline to enter. Once everyones entries are in. I will start another thread with everyones picture. Each picture will be numbered. At that point, everyone is to post and list the twelve LSes they like or prefer to see in a calendar.

For example. Say there are 35 entries. I would list my twelve picks by number. My post of my selections would look like this.
1. 3
2. 4
3. 8
4. 11
5. 17
6. 24
7. 27
8. 28
9. 31
10. 33
11. 34
12. 35

The voting would have a deadline. It would be a public vote. That way cheating would be more difficult. Once the dealine is reach. Everyones votes would be counted and added up. The top twelve LSes receiving votes would make the calendar. The owner with the most votes gets to select his or her month. So on and so on. The twelth LS would get the last month not selected. Any questions? Or suggestions?

+1... actually i think its flawless :D... i would even go so far as to say we should vote like this from now on... the best part is the winners would be selected on possibly "best photo" instead of "best mods"...so everybodys got a shot!:eek:

its a good idea but it may be to hard to do
 
That sounds like a good idea. I think maybe having half modded with aftermarket wheels,new grilles and all the other fancy stuff and half stock. The top from both category make it in.
 
A while ago someone mentioned a new concept to LSOTM involving specific photos.

Like best "body of water photo"... Best "open road" photo.. etc.

That would make for a scenic calendar at least. Instead of photos of people sitting in their driveway. This could be used in the same setup that Rollin described.

its a good idea but the only problem is that noone enters LSOTM and were lucky to get 3 people with some decent shots
 
I know this, that is why I said it can be used with Rollin's idea. I am just trying to throw out ideas to get a better looking calendar... I don't really want a calendar of people's cell phone pics of their LS in their garage. Know what I mean?

I mean I guess everyone can just take the best scenic photos of their ability and use those as their photos for the top12.


Also it would be cool to have like snow scenes for December etc. lol maybe this is asking too much

yes that is true lol the pic quality should be good since its going in a calendar i think its a great idea and once i finish up 1 or 2 more mods ill make sure i take some good pics of my ls so i can enter LSOTM
 
maybe each month their is a type a scenery you have to include in the photo, like a city enviornment, trees, body of water, in the winter you have to have snow in the photo somewhere etc. etc. and each person who enters will only be allowed 1 photo to enter and then we vote

The idea is for members to actually get good pictures of there LS. Whos going to vote for an LS sitting in a driveway. Get some good scenery shots.

As for modded and stock, gen 1 and gen 2 LSes. I guest we could do catagory votes. Not sure how exactly to break down the catagories. Any suggestions?

On a side note, seems like 2011 calendar will be a true LS community project.
