1995 Indigo Lights/Black LSC Progress

Thanks Kirk.

I'm taking a break from the shop this weekend, but hope to start putting the engine compartment back together this week.

Moar progress!

Started laying the deadening material on the interior. The firewall got 2 layers of the stuff. After that, putting the firewall back together began

Nice work Mike, I would also do two layers on the rear floor, forward facing riser and under the rear seat.

Got the Brake/Clutch pedal alignment figured out, and bolted down.

I'll be putting these O-rings under any area that a bracket touches the paint as well.

Since Blue Flame name is taken forever, what you gonna call this one ? :D

Oh, and no OBDII swap ? How R you gonna control that monster ? ;)

J,

Yes it is.

I'm doing this car in stages.

Paint/manual swap.

Engine, subframe braces/shock tower braces/OBDII.

Got a budget to stay on, and I'd like to drive it this year.

;)

Thank you Saturn,

I'm enjoying it more and more. I can't wait to get pictures in the sun.

It REALLY pops.

hey mike u not paint the interior panels..same color i noticed u left it white can i ask y?

Because basecoat is 89 dollars a quart. Clear is 70 a quart.

Its getting covered in sound deadening anyway.

This **** gets expensive quick.

i understand i am following the progress as well mike that paint job is flawless

Only $89 a quart? The last quart I bought for my SVO was almost twice that! (Sikkens Urethane, code BG, Bright Amber Metallic)

(side note) I hate websites (fatmat) that insist on playing music when you open them...

Approximately how many sq feet do you think you're going to use of flatmat?

So what's your reason for converting it over to OBDII? Easier tunability?

I bought 100 square feet and that wont get it completely done.

150-200 is looking more accurate.

I am using Sikkens base line "Wanda" for the base coat. Its substantialy cheaper than Lesonal or their premium line. For the outside, ill be using Lesonal pro-air clear.

It runs around 380 a gallon, plus activator and hardener.

And yes.

OBD tunability.

Got quite a bit done since the last update.

Dash is installed, used the last of the 100 Sqft of sound deadening (ordering 100 more feet this friday), Firewall, and inner fenderwells are coming back together as well. Sending the Cam Covers, and Front timing cover off for coating soon as well.

Hey Mike, where are you getting the Fat Mat from? I've been looking at getting some for the trunk of my G8, and for the 98 Mark. It seems to be a pretty decent price on eBay, but just wondered if you had a better source.

That thing is looking awesome Mike. That color really pops can't wait to see the finished product. Did you decide what wheels you are going with since the Boyds are on the other car now?

-Alan
