Yet again CFC ruins a perfectly good vehicle. You figure that's one perfectly good Mark blown up so somebody could buy a KIA. Then the collateral damage is ANOTHER 1996 Mark that one could have been saved by that very rare VCRM. Sorry went off on a rant there LOL

If your gonna go that route then forget all that extra work just cover that mean old engine light with electrical tape! Out of sight out of mind :p

What type of device did you use to get these codes? And how did you get these descriptions? Not only does the numerical value match the OBDII format the code description don't match anything either.

I called State Farm this morning and I do have free glass replacement :D They are going to set it up and have the glass place call me. I'll let you guys know what the cash price ould have been when they call me. I agree though that whatever it is would be worth it just to have the new seal ;)

I have 3 VCRM's for the 96 and a PCM (also one year only):D I go to several u pull it scrap yards on a regular basis. I knew about the VCRM's and started stock piling them everythime I see a 96. I figure for the $20 they charge I'll buy everyone I find that way if i ever need it at least one...

That sounds reasonable. At least now I won't have that high speed whistle from the seal anymore! The seal was still in good shape as far as appearance but it whistled around the upper right corner at highway speeds.
