similiar issues
my 2000 ls with 98000 miles is doing the same thing. even the slightest bump makes a rattling noise under the front end. sway bar bushings? catalytic converter? hub bearing? still need help...
I have the same issue's, just on the front pads. Recently I pulled them apart again, cleaned everything good, lubed the pins, slides, bushings, pistons and rubber sleeves. also used brake quiet on the back of the pads. working well as of today.
Been there done that. It's the pvc elbow under the lowe intake. Tough to get at, but while it's apart, change the VCG's and COP's. I have picture's of the fix, as soon as I figure out to resize them, I will post them.
PCV elbow = 28 bucks. (dealer item)
PCV ELBOW...just fixed my LS. it's under the lower intake. Pain in the A$$ to get at, but at the same time, replace the plugs and coils (atleast on the passenger side). the elbow is 28 bucks, and a dealer only item. Get the right one, don't try to mickey mouse it. It's in a very tight spot.

Car runs great.
good luck

probably the one I read. good info... that pcv elbow was 28 bucks, only at the dealer...the old one had a huge hole in it. who knows how long it was like that.
Pull off the front cover, which is over the radiator. 4 hand screws(plastic).
Look down inbetween the radiator and the transmission cooler. It's probably full of leaves and debri. wash it out with a hose. My Ls was doing the same thing. goodluck!
This site was extremely helpfull. I recently received an estimate od 1800.00 bucks to fix my skipping/vacuum problem. I purchased the gaskets, and especially that hard to find PCV valve elbow (which was the vacuum problem.)
Took me a weekend to change the valve cover gaskets, remove both upper...
