getting lean codes for both banks?

getting an 0171 and an 0174 code. changed my mass air meter and they came back again. car idles like it has a cam sometimes. what should i check into? doesnt appear to have a vaccum leak
 
Been there done that. It's the pvc elbow under the lowe intake. Tough to get at, but while it's apart, change the VCG's and COP's. I have picture's of the fix, as soon as I figure out to resize them, I will post them.

PCV elbow = 28 bucks. (dealer item)
 
pretty common.

heated wire gets dirts and takes a :q:q:q:q.... more common on cars with K&N filters
 
both banks running lean and smoke tested the intake and vac hoses kind of points to the maf?
 
Been there done that

01V6 it is the PVC hose. Dealership cost to replace $400. Heavy labor, cheap part. Go figure.
 
more likely vacuum leak on the intake side. You said you tested for it - how?
 
no, no test on fuel pressure...anyone have an aftermarket part number on a maf sensor?
 
A thought

check on craigslist atlanta auto parts, several being parted out.
