This site was extremely helpfull. I recently received an estimate od 1800.00 bucks to fix my skipping/vacuum problem. I purchased the gaskets, and especially that hard to find PCV valve elbow (which was the vacuum problem.)
Took me a weekend to change the valve cover gaskets, remove both upper and lower intakes to get at the PCV valve. My LS runs awesome. Cost to me was around 400.00 bucks, including new coils(3) for under the intake side. was able to salvage 3 coils. CHECK that PCV valve V6 owners!
I have pics for anyone interested on doing this job on there own.

Welcome and glad you were able to tackle it yourself. I posted a thread in the LS forum with some good info that I stumbled across for the 3.0 V6 PCV problem.
