For those that know, this will be old hat.

Just got our new hoist dragged into the shop. I can't wait to get it stood up, leveled, bolted down, and hooked up.

The Cobra is the 1st project to go on it.

My little slice of heaven.

Mike

Nice, fun moving those post around isn't it...on my 4 post one of the ramps was 800 lbs and 24 ft long talk about a pain. The shop looks great and you will love having your own lift, I tell everyone that they are the best car part you will ever buy.

Just noticed we built nearly identical wood work tables and bolted a vice to the corners. Also have the same fender covers.

Great minds and all that stuff. :p

Its plenty strong,

Ill describe it more later. I'm drilling my anchors for the hoist right now.

You might want to consider a square metal plate to eliminate the possibility of those bolts pulling through.

Got the posts stood, leveled, holes drilled, epoxied, and anchors set.

Got to get my 240 single phase motor for the pump ordered, but other than that, and the kill bar, its ready to go.

Manitowoc 9000 lb.

Used obviously, but at 1100 bucks, I couldn't pass it up.

American made, and stout as hell.

They came out of a Ford Dealership out here and 3 more are availible where these came from.

And Doug, you have a good eye.

I noticed that the 1st time I poked my head up through the hole in the ceiling.

I already have the plates drilled and ready to install.

Good. Just looking out for a friend. ;)

I have.

The one I want is about $1700....

Less than $600 "saved" (much less when you count in gas for his Navigator pulling a trailer, and the cost of food) wouldn't be worth it to me.
