Sorry to take so long. There are the 1st pics of the prototypes.

Bilicu, me and the manufacturer had spoke about standard height and lowered height struts and I think they may have been sent the lowered ones by mistake. I need to call Monday to confirm either way.
 
That looks real interesting very curious about the end results of this prototype

Looks like something that may work real well hopefully the shock absorber part works well
 
Very interesting. Those look like the Firestone air springs my dad has on his F-150. Are the air springs removable from the shock housing? Looks pretty neat. Unfortunately, also looks expensive.
 
Btw, one thing I didn't have installed in that is a shraeder valve(tire valve). That's right, your able to raise or lower manually without anything other than air!
 
Idea on standard/lowered shock, why not have two mount locations at the control arm. Upper hole for lowered, lower hole for standard height.
 
Those are pretty sharp looking!

I take it they will not use the stock solenoids judging by the round black thing with the wire hanging off of it...

How do they connect to the factory air lines?
 
Interesting. Is the air spring replaceable and what is being used for the shock?

Can someone please give us the weight difference between one of these units and a stock gen 2 setup?
 
I think 600 is more than fair... especially since parts for these cars are getting harder and harder to come by. I am most interested in what that thing uses for a shock absorber.

Let me know if they are lowered or not, I'd rather have stock height for the winter, but it's no big deal if they're lowered.

I don't have my Module 8 in the black car right now, I was going to ask you if there would be a problem with using that. The only time I would use it in the winter is to raise the car up a bit, just to drive down my 1000 foot dead end road that doesn't get snowplowed. I've actually only had to do this 2 times in the last 5 years, and once, to help get unstuck after being plowed in at work.

Let me know if I shouldn't use the module, I can just put it in the CE and use that to flatten the snow out if I need to.:D
 
Although the strut shown has a much larger orifice solenoid, which is also rebuildable, I am designing a part where the strut will accept a factory solenoid.

Lux, the air spring can be seperated from the strut, but would have to be done by the manufacturer to keep your lifetime warranty on the air spring.

As far as the weight goes, it doesn't have any plastic, so it's got to weight a tad more. A good sturdy construction though.

Billcu, you can use the module 8 just like before. One of the good things about this, is that it would be really easy to fastbag.
 
Looks like a stout and quality piece. My next Mark will have those in it, no doubt. Now just to get an adrenalin comp to match. :D
 
when these come out im ditching my springs for sure. I will be buying these.
