You got some pretty pics of the car up there Dan. They eat my DSL Direct alive and I thought I had a fairly fast speed but damn. They do look good though. Hope you fixed the one burned out bulb on the trunk lid light bar. :) When I find one out, I just go ahead and buy all new bulbs and replace all 6 of them. I have an extra bar and I'm going to do some work on it and install LED's to give it the neon look.

Anyway, you really have a good looking car. I like the color and the Octi's on it. Painting the moldings will help a lot too. I know you know all this.

Thanks Terry, UPS shows my paint is out for delivery. Probably paint it tomorrow morning. I'm really excited about it. I also like to think that you and I have 2 of the cleaner Gen1s. Thank you for the compliments though :) The wheels came off of my 97 before I sold it. I also really like having the 96LSC housings on the front, it helps the looks a little I think. I have a chirp in the LF corner of the car when I hit bumps. It doesn't do it when the brakes are applied.

I was trying to do a little diagnosis and I thought the wheel bearing was the problem, so I installed a grease fitting in the front side of the cap and filled it full of grease... that wasn't the problem. The upper and lower control arms are TRW and not that old. The sway bar links are new moog, and greased up. Not sure if it is in the rack or something, but the inner tie rods are new... didn't think about it until now but the outer tie rods are greasable and I haven't checked them yet. I'll grease them tonight and see if there is a difference. I also thought that it could be the strut squeaking, but I drove the car around the plan with the air suspension jacked up in the front, and it had no affect on the chirp noise.... kinda annoying...

I was just looking at the back of the car in the pics above, I love the way those tips look...

I have no idea what the chirp sound could be coming from, especially since you applied some grease to the fittings. I'm sure someone will have an answer. I have a couple of Gen 2 sets of tips I need to get rid of. I wished they would fit into my bumper groove but they won't.

I agree, the LSC housings do have a better look on the front end. I was going to put Octi's on the 95 but when the scrap guys left with my 94 with three good Octi's on it, they never brought them back lol. I didn't get any information on them and I even bought a 4th one to go with the three they said they were going to bring back. Jamie is telling me I should put some chrome 10's on there but I haven't decided yet and it's because the car is white opalescent. I would still rather have Octi's but may go with the chrome 10's. I can always sell the one Octi I have and I also have 5 center caps for them too. One wheel and 5 caps aren't doing me a bit of good lol.

I don't know if these are the best outside pictures, but I will add more. The paint match was damn near perfect and I WILL buy from these guys again. I have a couple chips on the car and will buy a bottle of their touchup paint later. I need to find the chrome now, but I will wait a few days before I apply it anyway. I had a few runs in the passenger side clear coat, but when it cured, the runs were gone. I guess the hot water helped the paint flow out better...

ENJOY!

Nice job, the more I see your car the more I think about painting mine that color. At least you can wear shorts and sandals while you are outside.

Thanks for the complements everyone. I take a lot of pride in this car, it's gettin' there.

go measure yours or go on LOD and pm billcu he bought enough to do his whole mark he knows which one you need.

Very nice detailing. Hope mine comes out this nice. Hope you don't mind me saying though. I liked the 10 spokes better.

Sooo... The meet next month has me motivated to fix some more stuff on my car. I had some paint fade on the rear of both strips above the quarter panels so here are my pics...

Now, in this picture, the paint looks dark. However, I looked at the before pictures and I think since the metallic in the paint is in a bright LED light from my phone and the angle, it looks a lot darker than the paint around it. However, it seems to just be the angle of the shot, the paint match is really good too.

We'll see what it looks like tomorrow in the sun, but there ya go!

The Octi's are setting that car off, especially in that one pic in the dark. That sh!t looks good. The 10's looked good on it but the Octi's seem to really stand out. Dan, you got it looking good.
