Thought some one might enjoy this find:

It looks legit to me.
The e-mail address is real and consistent.
And the photos they sent appear local and have the christmas lights hanging on the neighrbors house.

They are asking $2,000 for a 150k Mark VIII with custom rims, grill, HIDs, ground effects.

I wish I was in the market for a Mark VIII right now.

That's not an LMS spoiler....the LMS spoiler fit tight onto the trunk, no gap. I don't think this one looks bad though...

I'm up in the air about the ground effects...
 
i don't like the ground effects and the spoiler looks like a Taurus or sable unit. i like the lms spoiler but i guess geno doesn't have them anymore
 
If you're looking for an LMS spoiler, I know a guy here locally that was one of tha original members of the mark viii forums before they split. He still has an LMS spoiler that he bought many, many years ago. It's actually the one that Geno used to make a mold from when he made the last run of them years ago. He'd like to sell it, and asked me to see if there's any interest on the forums, but I had forgotten about it til now. He no longer has a Mark VIII any more.
 
seriously Cal how did you get that pic to upload. Every time I try uploading something half that size the website bitches at me.

And I don't really care for the ground effects, but I know that some people do.
That just seems to be one of the Mark VIII diamonds in the rough, the owner must have really loved that car.

Yes we do, we always do. Why would you think different? In fact I have one sitting right now, ready to ship, no wait. Someone ordered one then bailed.
 
i hate to say it but i like it and i would drive it. that picture loaded on my screen in about 3 seconds! there is another one of them marks around here on the west coast that was for sale in tampa last year, same color, same ground effects but the rims were snowflakes. that was the ground effects kit and wing you could get on the mark many moons ago, my brother in law had a black 93 that had the same exact kit and wing on it. i dont know why i like it, but if i had the 1500 i would buy it just for the wheels, stick some chrome 10 spokes on and drive it around with a for sale sign till i sold it!
 
Based on what I can tell, it just looks like a car that the owner really cared for.
I kind of regret not making an offer on it myself. Not only do I not need any more cars, I've run out of places to park them.
