that dude from the thing
holy chriziest! glad you are alright, sucks about the mark but they can be replaced
No one has said this yet, but don't tell anyone else that you think you put injectors in wrong and it started the fire. You do not want the landlords insurance to hold you responsible for the damage that was caused by the car exploding.
That's why this whole thread needs to be edited and or deleted.....I am just glad you and your son are ok though. If you need anything, let me know
I would guess gas vapors got trapped then ignited somehow.
You watch a lot of CSI?
no I hate TV...lolz
My guess.. he had the garage door open that was allowing fumes to rise and harmlessy exit the garage.
he said this happened AS he was lowering the garage door...
Which leads to my speculation that he HAD a leak, but the fumes were getting evacuated...once he started lowering the door the fumes were trapped..
As the door lowered the fumes got low enough to be ignited from that space heater seen in the picture.
/speculation
The investigator is not who you have to worry about. The insurance company for the landlord (who has an investigator of their own) is going to get the report if you admitted fault and is going to come after you for the damages after they pay to repair the property. Do you think they are going to not come after you when they can sue you for negligence? You never ever ever admit that something was your fault in an accident of any kind including ones like this.As for the statement made to the investigator, I didn't lie about what happened. I told him what I done and he said (after looking at the fuel rail) that it appeared to be on like it should have been.He said accidents happen and he could tell that I never asked for this to happen and since the house isn't mine, he knew I wasn't trying to get anything out of the deal.
I have found another black on black Gen 1....
If this guy calls me tonight or tomorrow that has the 95, I'll most likely go on down and pick it up. I will keep you all informed.

OMG!!!I just got home and looked at the pictures... I think I'm gonna have nightmares now...
First thing I did when i got my car back home was unplug the harness that Ford puts the recal harness on.. I dont want spontaneous combustion like that... Makes me wanna go whisper nice things to my fuel rails...
Sorry about the tough luck dude.. looks like we've had our fair share of it lately
Oh and you both forgot to mention how the flames got inside the car... He must have had the heater on, sucking in the fumes.
Can you tell where the blast started by looking at it?
Dude, one thing I was thinking about while I was on the road today. Try to do what you need to do to that car ASAP & get it out of your house!
#1. You don't want them investigating your car.
#2. Psychologically it sucks to see that car parked at your house like that. That was your baby!!!
Part it out ASAP, throw the parts in your garage (what's left of it) & junk it! WOW that sounded horrible, well, there's no other way to say it, call them to have them pick it up & take it. Kinda sucks just having to look at it.
That's way too sad. Accidents are bad enough, but this..![]()
Glad to hear everyone's OK.
I'm just going to say Glad you are OK ... there have been enough Damn ... Holy $hits and everything else ...
Good luck man, if it's the car you like, I hope you get it, should feel great that it's black/black too!![]()
WOW. I am glad I clicked on this thread I am going to bring my mark to the dealership for that recall. Good luck when you get your new mark
insurance pays out because accidents happen , you didnt do it on purpose there is no law that says you cant work on your own car or fuel system and an accident is an accident if we didnt have accidents we wouldnt need insurance.
p.s. stupidity is the highest cause of an accident. insurance covers stupid. im not saying your stupid by the way.
damn man that sux, looked good even though it was a gen 1 lol j/k, good luck on the 95 your lookin at
wtf is going on here good marks are dropping like flys, runs outside to check, pheww mines still ok
Dayym, I'm glad you and your family are good and hope your leg heals up fast.
Holy crap that really sucks. Im glad you are okay.
