What did you do to your LS today?

Have you try this aluminum degas reservoir, looks good.
Nope not yet...but th here is a member who bought it and has it installed ...we're waiting to hear how it's working out ...there is a Thread started on the forum but can't remember what the Title is off the top of my head ...I think its Aluminum degas bottle/reservoir something or another ...the person who installed it said it fits good and Joegr made a good point to keep the OEM plastic cap for it due to the 16PSI pressure release

Replaced eibach springs with D2 coilovers! I’m committed to this LSE now!

Hmmmmm, the p401 has returned again........checked the exhaust passage from the EGR valve into the intake manifold. Cleaned it out in case a lump of carbon had gotten stuck in the channel. Nope no luck there, checked vacumm to the EGR, it was there, put vacumm on the EGR manually, yep working, motor started running rough but not stalling. Hmmm, checked the old hoses to the DPFE, look good to me. I'm guessing the DPFE, yet again. This will be my 4th unit. 01V6 base 216k miles. Runs great, paint great, some wear on drivers leather seat. Everything else works as it should.

Trying to make a carbon fiber steering wheel. It’s not perfect but neither am I lol. In the process of putting on the epoxy resin as we speak.

Ordered a new DPFE on EBAY $10.95 installed and the error went away. :)

Had the DCCV and actuator motors for the defrost, floor left side and recirculating doors replaced. HVAC back to normal operation with no DATC codes.

Something different. These also get vinyl graphics put on them I just have to get them printed.

Some small details that make huge differences. After the shiny new walnut shift knob the ashtray and heated seat control walnut trim items were showing dullness ageing / scratches and not as vibrant. Took them off, wet sanded with 600, shot 5 heavy coats of clear, let dry two days, wet sanded with soapy warm water using 1000 then 2000 grit, and then a good hand polish with compound. Perfect match now. Wish I had taken some before pics.

Carl Smith,What year is your ls in this pic?

Today I "mickey moused" a light behind the lincoln emblem on my secondary grille.( my other one needs a paint job). It is hooked up to the parking lights, with a slide switch as an option to turn it off.

excuse the quality, was at work, and used a cell phone.

Edit- this grille mod costed 50 dollars, including the grille. The grille was 35 due to the emblem being scratched, I removed the chrome in the emblem, drilled a hole behind, and installed a 10 dollar Led. I also installed a sliding kill switch that was 5 dollars.

Yep. First time doing wrap. It took about 6 hours - all those buttons were a killer! A panel without buttons would take about 10 minutes or so. All in all I'm really happy with the results.

That is pretty good time for first try. Where did you buy the wrap? Did you put clear coat or something on the wrap? I tried some wrap, could have been wrong stuff, but it was hard to put on , faded and scratched easily.

Well, looks like I'm back in the LS game after a 1.5-year hiatus of actually driving on the road due to me crashing the LS in a low-speed rear-ender, I have had most of the work done a while back and just let the car sit while I drove the Element and the new CRV so I couldn't afford to insure my LS mainly because it wasn't ready, needed a new bumper which an OG LVC/LSO/LSE member gave me, I got the paint made up today (single-stage) and going to pick up the new battery tomorrow or Friday. I am pretty stoked, about 4 months ago I swapped all my coils and plugs out again, put in a new door lock assembly on the front left door but still looking for one for the front right, apparently, that door is hard to come by lol. I can't find the front right anywhere except one place but the price is outrageous, so i am relying on some members of the FB group to snag me one next time they hit up a wrecker. LS still has some work to be done like swapping out the back window because I destroyed my defrosters when removing the tint, I also messed up the passenger rear windows with a 3m wool pad (even though the detail group said it would be fine) but there is a guy local with a gen 1 that will give me each window for $25 a piece and $75 for the back window. i will be more active on here and on LSO. Stoked to be rolling soon again.

Got these two great parts for only $20 canadian, also got a bag of 3.9 stuff like shitty coils, a engine cover, cop covers, plastic thermo housing (i think) a some vac lines.

Today I replaced my green traction control light with a green led as the incandescent burnt out. Its REALLY bright and the green is a little more vibrant than the rest of the bulbs but hey at least its green and not burnt out. I'm also going to replace the yellow traction control off light with a red led and the yellow parking brake light that lights up when you turn the car on with a red led.

I also replaced my puddle lamps with leds. I had some pretty cool projector puddle lamps in there that projected a lincoln welcome mat on the ground but I got tired of them beacause they didn't shine light all over the ground as they were projectors not puddle lamps. These led puddle lamps are much better especially beacause they match all of my led interior lights and my led license plate lights and my headlights. There all a nice white blue now.
