Just replaced my factory alternator last week (with a Ford re-manufactured unit) in a 2002 V8, Was not fun!
Well over the weekend I found my rh front sway bar end link was ripped apart..so threw a bolt thru it till today going to get a new one now. But also saw this while under it poking around. Power steering pressure sensor? Any ideas ppl ?
2006 bumper cover, halo headlights, halo LED fogs added. Rare optional perforated & logo embossed Gen1 front and rear seats added and dyed dark graphite to match interior theme. One piece aluminum cold air intake added.
Any auto grade should be good. Prep is key and let it dry a few weeks then color sand the clear and buff to look best.
Well today I went back to the pick and pull, this poor 02 V6 is looking fairly violated now , pulled all struts/springs...look like OEM . And also I noticed this one has these subframe connectors? Was this a late 1st gen thing? As mine does not have em (well it does now ) also grabbed a bunch of other bits and bobbles...still having the damn inertia switch code showing up in forescan tho..so grabbed the rear body module...idk if they are plug and play swappable..any one want to chime in?
Well, just finished a 550 mile trip with her. Never went above 103degrees celcius. Will say more when I am awake.
Well Ween going to the pick and pull everyday this week (as work is shut down...damn corona) and stripped more from the 02 in the lot, got a woodgrain steering wheel, and scored a mach 1 lip off an 02 mustang! I'm stoked! So currently going thru my haul and cleaning em up for paint etc ...pics to come
General "The Works" service at the local dealer last Thursday. Ordered new Motorcraft Coils & Plugs last night, shipped today, should be here Monday, will likely install next weekend.
Spent the day washing and prep/painting the parts I scored from the junker. Tomorrow will be an install day
Ok so only installed a little..had to declare some bits...but got the mach 1 lip on. Damn it looks good
Installed some freshly painted side skirts....looks so much cleaner than the black plastic (also discovered I have a bad Rus problem on the rear rockers )
Well to add to the tale, got a VI today. So now throwing in a set of gently used motocraft struts. Rear is done.
I got the LS back on the road after sitting for about a year in my driveway. Threw in some Mobil1 5w20, new coils, new plugs, new PCV valve and have new o2's to put in if I can borrow a lift for an hour when all this shit blows over, also installed my Diode Dynamic LED's low-beams, just waiting on my LED fog lights and housing and looking at using my buddies 3D printer to somewhat make a bracket so I can mount them on my 06 bumper. I notice I keep getting water in the driver side front door so I'm assuming the weather stripping is shot which is unfortunate.
No Lincoln LSes in the pick and pull yards in my area ...if you ever go back to to get something again... If it's not to much trouble do you think you could grab up the white plastic lock washers that the interior door panel plastic clips lock into ...Some are easy to take off but some are a real PITA...busted quite a few trying to take them out the other day...don't think there available anymore ... Check if your drain tube is blocked up first...could be plugged...pressurized air could blow the blockage out maybe
And I pulled the lip off an 03 mustang. There fairly common. Bet you got a half dozen in a pick n pull near you...I was just lucky another mustang guy didn't grab it first
