That car was a POS. Had a dent on the pass side right in front of the rear tire, in the molding area and some into the door and other dings everywhere. The evap tray was rusted out. Pass side headlight housing was full of moisture. The car had a bad vibration from take off up to 60 but that's as far as I drove it and I turned that :q:q:q:q around and went back. Air ride worked perfect. 10 spokes were 9 out of 10 and the interior was about an 8 out of 10. The neon or ballast was not working and that ugly ass rag top was really throwing me off. Got him down to $2500 before it was even looked at but after seeing it, I said $1800 and he said no so I drove off in the smooth riding 95.

He liked my interior and asked if it came like that and I said no. I done it.

wtf why did you even bother green on tan with the rag top :yuck: i didnt even wast time reading after i saw pics

I have no clue chicken. He said there were no dents or anything in it but he was wrong. I opened the hood and it looked like the car had been lifted by the ass end and the engine dipped in the salt water ocean. Then left to sit for 2 years.

I thought maybe getting it and removing the top and painting it but pssshhh....

I wanted the wheels but other than that, nothing about it enthused me. The passenger seat didn't work either or maybe I mentioned that already. I think the car has seen water drenched on the right hand side. Something tells me it's been off in a ditch full of water on the passengers side but from the seats up, it was mint on the inside, just an ugly color.

dont even think about buying a ragtop conver to remove the top, you dont even want to get into that, its a :q:q:q:qing nitemare

From the ad, according to the SELLER: "1998 LINCOLN MARK-VIII-THIS CAR RUNS AND DRIVES LIKE A NEW CAR"

So I wonder...{{{Scratches head}}} Did the 1998 Lincoln Mark VIII's vibrate from 0-60 when they come out the assembly line? Hmmmm, just pondering!

According to him, the 98 that he was selling drove excellent but as I started out of his driveway, all I felt was pure vibration. It felt like all 4 bolts that hold the shaft to the rear end were loose. I never expected it to feel like that but of course "he's never felt it"

I can't talk bad about the interior, even with the color it had because it was in extremely good shape. Carpet kinda looked bad but the rest was near perfect. No wear on the drivers seat at all but then after opening the hood and seeing the engine, different story. Had 160K on it too.

Ive just hated ford tan interiors. like when my wife was looking for a bird i said only if its a 4.6 and not tan inside, and also when i was looking at marks i said NOT tan, hell i looked at an ivory interior  but figured the light graphite would hold up better and it is, wouldn't expect 173k on the clock!

Theres a black on black 1998 LSC here for 2100.00 right now at a dealership. Its had light front end damage from a deer but it didnt pop the bags, just the grill a headlight and the hood had a dent in it. I tryed to talk my wife into letting me take the 1500.00 i made from selling my Firebird and buying that but i didnt have any luck.

I love my prairie tan also.I have had a black on black mark viii and honestly i dont get why everyone makes such a big deal about this combo.

IMO the prairie tan is acceptable, I'd still prefer ivory, black, or graphite, but it's OK. It's the saddle that makes me want to burn things.

its becuase black on black just looks plain badass, black with prairie tan is like, oh that thing looks good then you get up close and see the tan and its like ewwwww. that thing looks like an old lady owns it. i'm like chicken though, the ford tans are just plain ugly, in my opinion, and opinions are like ass holes, everyone has one!

Black interior to me is the best. If taken care of, it looks cleaner and the carpet doesn't show every little spot and it has more of a sporty look to it. I miss my black on black but now the white on black has taken over. Well, white on black with a hint of lite graphite. Opal grey is ok too but it just seems like most of them and other cars have tan, if they have leather. Black leather isn't in every car you walk up on.

I haven't updated any pics yet but now that I have added a black message center and put in the black door panels and left the grey door handles, people are asking questions when they see it. It gives even more of a cockpit feel now. Again, some like it and some don't. One thing I do know is that there isn't another 95 out there like mine. Might be one that looks close but it's not the same.
