Thinking of Two-Tone

I'm thinking of two-toning the 93, silver on bottom, black on the top. Just above the door handle, straight line all the way across. What do you think?

It would in my opinion look better silver on top and black on bottom at the pinstripe line. I was thinking the same for my pearl white color of repainting it the same mentioned color as you. But the longer I go the more the pearl is growing on me.
 
2 tones dont flow well on these cars, there have been a few that pulled it off decent but good luck! i would do the black up top though if you do it, jeeze greg you are as bad as me when it comes to ideas and not leaving things alone lol!
 
I'll agree with the above posters and say it is really hard to get a mark to look good 2toned..
It would be hard to make a mark look good with racing stripes as well...Maybe if they were ghost striped it would work.
With the mark's lines i think that it would be very hard to find a paint scheme that would work with it..

If I was going to do a black and silver two tone I would do it like some North Carolina state cruisers. Some are reverse. Black on top and bottom and silver in the center. I love it. I will find and post pictures later.

This is what's really inspiring me. Either silver on the bottom or top, they both look good to me. I was thinking of bringing the line to the edge of the hump.

Silver on top would look better. It's hard to pull off a 2 tone mark, but silver and black are a good color combo that I think would work well.

Agreed, silver on top.
 
I dont think these cars would be good looking in two tone... They just dont have the right lines for it. But if you were to do it go with a silver bottom and a black top or silver on the bottom and some color on top.
 
greg you cant be inspired by a car that shares zero lines with our car. that two tone might look great on a mustang because its a mustang, put that same paint job on a mark VIII, and you might want to paint it again! you need photoshop to see it on a mark, you cannot take a paint job from one kind of car and think it will look the same on a mark, our cars dont have lines for a 2 tone. just my opinion.

Those are just for ideas. I do want to photoshop it, but I have no skills when it comes to that. Was hoping someone would've done it by now. I am really leaning towards triple midnight black, but I thought to myself, what would two tone look like? Not many done. I'm still up in the air though. :p
 
Pretend it's a good photochop. lol. I blurred it because I used photobucket editor and I figure the squint and pretend it's nice effect is better than cheesy lines.

yes i posted pics of that maybe a year or more ago, it looks like :q:q:q:q in my opinion. that paint job just doesnt flow with the car, i dont think these cars could possibly look any better than one solid color. you asked for opinions greg you are getting them, 2 tones dont work!
 
I most likely wont. I am way too conservative for anything radical. I am rethinking silver though. Since my interior from my black 98 lives on in this car, I may just respray it black.
 
I would never go further than accenting trim with other colors on my car. That said, I don't mind the hood/roof/trunk thing goin on. I don't like the sides, they are terrible, it's too much IMO. Marks are supposed to be luxurious, so, ricer or traditional everyday "style" gimmicks can't dress up a car that already looks stylish. Kind of like armor-all on Gucci loafers, they do not need any artificial help to look good.
